Q: Will this door open during the night if my motion lights comes on in the run?

Q: Is this door able to be lifted by fox, coon or possum? I do not see mention of any locking mechanism, what is to prevent predator from raising door?

The door slides in and into a slot in the frame. All four edges of the door are not exposed for any critters to get their paws under. Even if they tried to get a claw in the small slots in the door that engage the actuator, the resistance to spin the motor is enough to prevent the door from being opened. In my experience raising chickens for many years, most critters don't have the anatomic ability or natural tendency to lift a door like this. They either pull toward themselves or try to push down. I've found this door to be one of the best designs we've ever used. Very happy with the design and performance

Q: Does the newest version have a sensor to protect the hens who might be napping in the door way?

Yes it does. If the sensor notices a chicken or something blocking the doorway when it is trying to close it will stop and then retry after a few minutes.
