Can I square my review rating? This is awesome!
Requirements for my purchase:- need max "air pressure" to be at least 150psi capable knowing I probably wouldn't get 150psi of true air pressure cause I don't have a vessel strong enough for this test. But I can test with a vessel filled with water.- needs to be 12v complaint with + and - terminals exposed. Don't care about terminal connector for initial tests. Connectors will be decided after testing- needs to be portable, small, efficient, work as pure a air compressor should to inflate things and be durable for accidents from a tail gate or out of the truck.- price is a factor in regards to requirements, features, safety features, durability, quality, performance. Results from tests all passed with flying colors. The pressure gauge works and was tested alongside with another gauge that was already calibrated. The hoses the package came with held 100psi of water in a soda pop bottle for 20 mins. No leaks, no bursts and the pressure inflated to 100psi so quickly I was scrambling to shut off the pump before starting my test.My test comprises of a 1 way air valve with 20ft of 1/2" hose capable of 150psi air pressure into my pump, while other side of the valve contains water filled container to be pressured.

Pretty good for the price
Seems to work well. Can air a 265/65R17 tire from 15 to 30 PSI in just 2-3 minutes. I did four tires this way and while the heads got warm they were not uncomfortable to the touch. Between the length of the power cable and the coiled air hose I had no problem reaching the rear tire on the opposite side of the truck from the battery. The only issue, and a minor one, is that the pressure gauge is not accurate while running. It shows about 5 PSI more than the actual pressure while running. Turning it off gives a reasonably accurate pressure.

Good Quality for the Price
So far, so good. It appears well-made and it's far quieter than the previous compressor I had (different brand - finally died). It also inflates fairly rapidly for it's size and doesn't get hot nearly as fast. I like the fact that it also includes battery clips, in addition to the usual cig adapter. Best of all, while I had to fight to get my previous one back in its soft case, the provided soft case is sufficiently large that there is still more than enough room for a basic tire puncture repair kit, if desired. The only downside I can see is that the pressure gauge is small and imprecise (as opposed to inaccurate), with tick marks every 5 PSI. If you're like me though, you use another high quality gauge to cross-check so it's not a big issue. The gauge seems to be reasonably accurate though.

Works for me.
Will air up 37x20’s from 0 to 65 psi in about 15 minutes, did not overheat and works great.

Air up 37s
I thought I'd written a review when I got this in 2020. I started with 35s and took about 5 min per tire to go from about 17 psi to 35. With the new 37s it took me about 7 minutes. I'm at 4600 feet (altitude)It's not quite as fast as arb, but it also 90% less expensive. The bonus is I can have it in my 4runner for anytime outings then grab and go in the bronco for the rare times I take that.I find it extremely easy to use, doesn't get even close to as hot as an arb, I can easily grab and go in any car rather than permanently mounted like a more expensive unit.I just bought a other one to give to mom. Her tires were low and this quickly and easily filled them. Her comment was that she's had the batter powered emergency pumps. They almost always are dead when you need them. She was impressed with this and how small it is. She asked for one for her bday...so I just ordered it and now writing a review.Amazing little pump especially for longevity and for the price, since I use it for huge tires and have put it through the paces for years. Oh, I also used on my 2001 superduty crew cab and the chord and air hose reached all tires fine.Would recommend

Garbage: Spend your money elsewhere.
I clamped adapter socket to battery, hooked the hose up, plugged the cord into adapter, hit the switch and it pumped for less than 2 seconds. I thought it might be the fuse in the plug end but it isn't blown. Thought that maybe the battery clamp adapter might be faulty so I plugged it into a 20A auxiliary socket but still nothing. I haven't had time to troubleshoot it further, but the point is that I shouldn't have to.Added to the failure are some design and build quality issues. The clamps are quite small for battery posts. The wire gauge is very small for the job it's being asked to do, and the cable is quite short.I'm so glad that I was just trying to do a seasonal pressure adjustment , and very lucky that this didn't leave me stranded somewhere.Do yourself a favor and buy a better compressor. How is this thing getting the ratings it's getting? The clamps and cord would make it a 2 or 3 star unit...if it worked.Doesn't even deserve 1 star.*OK, so I took a closer look at the failed compressor and found the problem, or at least the first problem; the wire connections on the clamp on socket are terrible and the negative failed completely due to a bad solder joint. The wire should have been stripped back further and put through the hole on the tab, twisted, and then soldered. Also when the manufacturer soldered it they didn't get the tab hot enough for the solder to flow and bond well, and possibly didn't use flux either. The positive wire isn't any better. If you look you can see that many of the wires weren't soldered to the post.Very poor quality control and workmanship. Also, the rubber hose is just plain rubber with no reenforcement and very likely to be short lived and fail. It could even be a bust hazard at the pressures claimed as possible, but I can't test that yet since the unit isn't working.I'm very unhappy with this item.
