Is this better than the nosefrieda one?

In my opinion, yes. We got the nosefrida first and saw this one and decided to give it a try cuz it has a case. The Munchkin one is easier to handle (small bulb vs long tube) and it has different sizes for the nose part so you can get better suction and our kid will actually sit still for this one whereas she wiggled and cried for the nose frida (don't know why tho).

Is this dishwasher safe?

The Munchkin Clear Nose Baby Nasal Aspirator was not designed to be placed in the dishwasher. To clean, take the aspirator apart for cleaning after each use. Wash with soap and water and rinse thoroughly. Do not microwave or steam sterilize. Use a cotton swab to clean the nose tip. The air tube and mouthpiece can be cleaned with a few drops of rubbing alcohol.

Is there any kind of barrier that will filter the air from baby to you? Viruses and Bacteria can easily travel through suction...

No, there is no air filter in the aspirator. Only the mucus barrier but the air go from the baby to you.

Does the mouthpiece detach? That’s my biggest complaint about the nose Frida and it ends up loosening/warping.
