Q: Will this work with a one inch thick table?

The spec for the thickness or depth of the ring plug is stated as .98". You might try it, but if your table is truly 1" thick, it may not work. You can always send it back. If it works, great, because it is the best ring plug I've seen. Good Luck.

Q: Can you still turn and adjust the tilt position to block the sun?

Our tilt is towards the top of the umbrella - so yes we still use the tilt.

Q: Thread length needs to be approximately 2 inches

Not going to get 2 inches with this one, 3/4 inch thread protrudes when used through 1/8" glass table top so threads are approx. 7/8 inch lond.
