convenient and long battery life
Due to recent world changes ((cough))COVID((cough)), our team has all been given laptops instead of desktops to work from. Which has greatly improved work life! I can telework, work from the field, etc., anywhere there's an internet connection, I can get my job done.However. Not having grown up with computers as a natural fact of life, I am unused to a small screen. Those dual monitors at work are a godsend!! I can make do out in the field, or for a quick moment. However, with age, also comes changing eyesight. It's no longer comfortable for me to be only a keyboard's width away from my screen. I need some distance! As my job entails some flexibility, I had purchased a silicone roll-up keyboard so for portability and convenience. It was wonderful! Fit easily in my work backpack. Lightweight. A built-in 10-key pad (I abhor hunting for numbers across the top of the keyboard). The only downsides were that it was corded, and that my fingers didn't glide across the keys as they do on a 'regular' (plastic) keyboard. A coworker saw my silicone keyboard, came to Amazon, and found the ProtoArc XK01 Folding Wireless Portable Keyboard.I had to have one. My co-worker mentioned the battery life when I asked about the keyboard, and I thought, yeah, right. I'll use it more than you do, so there's no way this lasts *that* long. Folks, I am here to tell you that the battery life on this is INCREDIBLE. I ordered this in January 2023. It's now mid-September 2023, and I think I've charged it twice. MAYBE three times in the last eight and a half months.I use the ProtoArc XK01 Folding Wireless Portable Keyboard regularly, and yet sporadically. Depending upon how the day unfolds, I may use it for my entire work day in the field, or it may only be used once for a meeting. Other times, it just lives in my work backpack, ready when I need it. This keyboard (and my mouse) have become indispensable parts of my workday.Pros:- convenient size- BATTERY LIFE (charged three times (maybe two) in the eight and a half months I've had it)- 10-key number pad- ease of use- portability- convenience- USB-C charging port- Bluetooth connectivity to three different devicesCons:- the little feet have come off the bottom- USB-C charging port (depending upon already owned technology)- Bluetooth connectivity to three different devices (if you accidentally hit a button, and can't figure out why your keyboard is no longer working ...)I rated this as five stars because it's become so indispensable to my work life. I was working with a co-worker recently, and needed that distance from the screen. I switched the Bluetooth to setting two, connected to their laptop, and I was able to complete my task much easier! The only issues I've had so far have been that the little rubber feet have fallen off, and the plastic hinge protector on one hinge partially broke. I highly recommend this product!

Rechargeable, Reliable Keyboard with Multi-Device Support
This keyboard is perfect for what I need it for. I can switch between typing on my phone, work computer, and tablet. It only takes ~1 second to switch between devices or for it to pair to the last device used after being opened. Even within the second, it seems to store and then push key inputs when it successfully pairs. While you want to use this on a hard, flat surface, the keyboard is steady and sturdy when it is well supported. However, if you are trying to use it and the edge is protruding off a table, for example, I would be concerned that it would put too much pressure on the hinges and result in early damage/failure.For me, this is a fantastic product and well deserving of the 5 stars I am giving it. 3 keyboards in one with full functionality, no dongles to keep track of, and portability to take to any desk or table where I happen to need it. USB-C charging means no more batteries to keep track of, and with newer Apple devices and some laptops switching to USB-C charging, finding a cord is seldom a problem, even in a pinch.

Nice Looking, Compact, and Highly Portable
I want to give it 4.5 but that's not a choiceI mainly tried the XK01 foldable keyboard because it has the keypad and it's designed for portability. The idea is to use it with the a docked Steam Deck or with my phone when traveling.Super simple Bluetooth connectivity (up to 3 devices) or you can use the USBb C cable, too.Very compact but still leaves me feeling like my fingers have some space to move around instead of having to crumble them together to hit the keys. When folded, it feels secure and sturdy enough to withstand moving around inside a backpack. It's also very lightweight which is a plus.My point deductions come more from needing to use it on a flat surface that covers the width of the keyboard. And, as other reviewers said, you can to pay a little attention to the hinges when opening and folding the keyboard because sometimes they move out of track and you can break them or push them out when opening and closing. It's not a big deal but you do have to be aware and the hinges feel like the weakest link. They look a little delicate. As for the need for a flat surface, I think the keyboard could benefit from a way to lock the keyboard open so if you are traveling and need to set it on your lap, the keys stay relatively flat and you can type. It's very easy for the keyboard to fold inwards. This is not a deal breaker since it's personal preference, but it would be a nice addition for a future model.
