Perfect for whittling.
Beautifully soft and uniform wood for whittling. Be careful on smaller carves as it's fairly easy to go straight through the wood and into your knuckle!

This is definitely the best Basswood ive ever bought really easy to carve and reasonable price i think a lot of sellers sell Pine and say its Basswood also Doug Linker recommends this Basswood from Beavercraft and if he likes it it's good enough for me

Overall Quality wood good with a couple of pieces of poor quality.
Overall very good for carving. Unfortunately, a couple of pieces have knots or are a bit hard and splinter easily.

Ideal for a beginner.
The wood is even coloured with a nice straight grain. There's no break out when carving against the grain or at the ends providing your tools are sharp. Excellent for the price.
