Unexpectedly well built.
I bought this with some hesitation and reasonably low expectations. This rod and reel are worth the money and more. The construction of the rod and reel are very tight. I don't know how long this rod will last or how it will wear over time but out of the box it seems to be constructed to last. It's a little unbalanced but the sensitivity is perfect for a medium action rod. I love the way it performs and is very portable. The line and lures are mediocre at best. The value is in the rod mostly and the reel carries it's weight with value.

Telescoping Rod and Reel
I am not a pro fisherman but I learned fishing with my Dad and I've caught plenty. As a rod and reel I this is a nice rod, it's got a good feel in the hand, it's closer to an ultra light but not quite ultra, like micro sub 6 foot pole with 1oz weight casting limitThe reason I chose it is obviously the telescoping abity and this is absolutely an amazing marvel of technology, I feel blessed to have it really. It's simple, seems like it would last if taken care of and cleaned, and putting it together and back was quick and kinda mesmerizing. It gets so small it's like a wand, a foot long stick, and the reel of course, which I kept both of their boxes. If their is a caveat, maybe the rings seem susceptible to damage if the rod sack is not kept safe or in the box.

I feel like I got my money's worth
Decent price for what it is. The reel is good. But the rod isn't great. After a few casts it won't collapse back down. Definitely hit the mating surfaces of the individual pieces with some WD40.Also the rod is pretty stiff. Would work great for catfish/carp but I don't think this is usable for any smaller light finesse lures.

A Perfect Starter Combo That Feels Anything But “Beginner”
I picked up the PLUSINNO Fishing Rod and Reel Combo as a casual angler looking to get back into the hobby, and it quickly reminded me why I love fishing in the first place. This set is thoughtfully designed and incredibly satisfying to use — light, strong, and sleek. What really impressed me is the carbon fiber construction. The rod feels solid yet flexible, with just the right amount of give. It’s lightweight enough to cast for hours without fatigue but still sturdy enough to handle a good fight from a strong catch. You can really feel the quality when it’s in your hand — it doesn’t feel like an entry-level setup at all.The reel is smooth, responsive, and well-balanced with the rod. I was surprised at how easily it handled reeling in with consistent drag. Perfect for lakes, rivers, or just some peaceful casting at your favorite pond.Just a heads-up: fishing line is not included, so you’ll want to grab your preferred line separately before heading out. Not a big deal, but good to know.Overall, this combo feels like a real step up, even for a casual angler. Whether you're new to fishing or just want a reliable rod-and-reel setup that won’t break the bank, the PLUSINNO combo is an easy recommendation — and a joy to cast.

Seems good from a beginner as a backpacking combo, fish successfully caught
Bought this for backpacking to tuck into side of pack as a complete novice for something to do on longer trips, fits well on the side of my Arc Haul. This combo was pretty easy to set up and successfully landed multiple bass in the Adirondacks. I bought some line at wally world and spooled it on, had some frustrating snags/line twist issues on day one, but I assume that had everything to do with me and very little to do with the reel... After getting it all cut off and starting over with a Kastmaster, I was reeling in bass all day up to 15 inches easily, no issues.

Probably great for what they are but not for me...
I am retired and occasionally go fishing. Not so much to catch fish, but to get a little exercise as the doctor recommends, and, to be outside in beautiful Virginia. I thought these would be a great alternative to have in my truck on the occasion I saw a good fishing hole. Because of my disability I can't drive long distances and so I have to stop pretty regularly to keep my knees from locking up. What a way to do that: Fishing for a little while. Well, to these poles and reels. I got them, put one of them together, took it apart, bagged it back up and sent it back. The quality seemed Ok, the truth is in the fishing, but I didn't like the way they extend and retract. Like a two-piece rod, these have 6ish miniature rods you have to pull out, line up and hope you have them snug. Then, when you are done, you have a length of line you have to keep from getting tangled as you struggle to get them loose without breaking the small ends of the rod. Just too much hassle, too much chance for breaking it or tangling line or not getting them set right. The reel seems Ok.. but never tested. Very compact and would be a great product with some engineering adjustments. Like being able to lock the rod sections in place after extending, small grooves/guides to keep the pole section from spinning around and tangling line. Just not for me. I will just carry around my 2-piece ugly stick and a few lures. BTW. the lures (untested) looked Ok. the plastic bait looked pretty cheap.. so don't count on the tackle being great, get your own

Buy it.
It comes with a lot of stuff, easy to set up, holds very nice. Compactness is very good . The pole is good and strong. The only bad thing is that the line it comes with will most likely snap if you got a decently big fish on there but it’s all very good. Worth the purchase
