Can these units be mounted with the controls on the inside of the closet? Presumably using the exhaust unit as the intake (and intake as exhaust)?

I suppose you can but it wouldn’t look very nice. Much cleaner to mount the proper way.

Can you convert it to a Intake by flipping the fans?

I suppose you could. Or, just buy the intake version.
