I use this tape to baste seams before I sew them with a sewing machine. It's really easy to apply, though you'll want to use a press cloth because the paper starts to slide off the sticky part and it can get on your iron if you're not careful. It works so much better than pinning. It's really helpful when you need to sew narrow seams or if you're sewing small things together. I used it to "glue" bra fasteners onto a bra I was making. Perfect! It did not gum up my needle at all. The smell is a little strong but I only use a tiny amount at a time. It looks like there's only one roll in the bag, but before you complain, check it... I had two rolls stuck together!

I used tge tape for making an upholstery futon cover. Double sided tape keeps edges from unraveling.Tip: Do not sew over the tape. The sticky glue messed up my needle and froze up my sewing machine handle. Apply the tape after sewing the seams. Tape under the seam to open the seam up and prevented fibers from unraveling. Do not cut with scissors but pull the end of the tape by hand.

When I first took this out of the package, everything worked great. It was super sticky, dissolved as expected, and worked as intended. I put both rolls away in my sewing box when I was finished. Two days later I took it out again and both rolls, even the one I hadn't used, had completely lost its stickiness. It was so bad it wouldn't even stick to the paper it was originally adhered to. It just fell right off.

It is terrible sticks like super glue and you cannot get it apart even after you soaked the fabric a waste of time and all your work. I returned to using the 1/4inch tape you can also reuse the tape at least 3 times

I read the negative reviews but, for the most part, the tape worked great for me. Anything like this is going to be challenging to separate the backing cover in the beginning but if you make sure you press the tape down into the fabric before you try and peel it, it works fantastically.

This saved me when trying to sew a decent hem on jersey fabric! Easy to use, will be used again and again!

This is tape does exactly what it says. I was trying to sew knit fabric. The tape kept it from bunching up and I didn't have to use pens. My machine sews right through it, didn't gum up the needle and it completely washed away. I would have very easily given this 5 stars but the product packaging is horrible. While the outside packaging was wonderful, the actual rolls were smashed. Another issue is that the actual tape switches sides and isn't all on the same side of the paper. That's my biggest complaint and the only problem that isn't really cosmetic. I can still use it but where that tape is on the outside of the paper/roll now, it sticks to everything and is waistful.

I like using this kind of wash-away tape when I'm doing zippers or if I'm doing something finicky like a gusset. So far, this has had decent adhesion, while allowing me to reposition things. It also washes away well. So, it's a great value, especially compared with the name-brand wonder tape.
