How are these worms killed? Is it done humanely?

I am reasonably sure the question of ‘humane slaughter’ is not applicable to a beetle larvae. The best I could find is that they have around 10,000 neurones (brain cells.) An ant has 25 times more brain cells. They are on a scale one to 10 for smarts about -200.

What is the quanity of your 2kg pack in litres please? It allows me to compare what I think is good value fron you against others. Thank-you

According to my reckoning, 3 litres of mealworms = approx. 500g, so 2kg would be about 12 litres. Hope this is helpful.

Are these from China?

These mealworms come from China. It's got it printed on the packaging label. It seems to be impossible to get any mealworms that originate in the UK for some reason? There must be some out there somewhere? I've been searching for some time now but can't seem to find any that do? If anybody knows of any mealworms that are of UK origin please let me know. Many thanks.

Is this actually 2kg in weight?

I feel the 5kg bag is a better buy, because I have a large number of birds come twice a day. I have 5 containers to fill daily.
