I read somewhere that you are supposed to get the sponge wet. Is this correct?

Don’t wet the sponge. It traps your own exhalation vapor and humidifies the incoming air.

How many nights can one be used?

I bought a bunch but only used 1 for 5 nights ..and then tossed it. It was still working. So I can't say for sure, but i think its supposed to be 7. I don't think you can store thsee once opened.

The raptortec seller says wet the sponge before use. others say this is a bad idea and makes mold. wussup??

You do not wet the sponge. The moisture from your body is absorbed and sent back through the mechanics of this device. I have used it often, and it works perfectly. You need to treat it as disposable and only use it for a month at most. The manufacturer says seven days, but if you are not sick, and thus concentrating your germs in the sponge, you can use it and it will still work longer.
