fantastic for dropping your phosphates
my phosphates where of the charts after researching i came across this stuff thought id give it a go,nice safe way to try without harsh chemicals. i used a media bag fine as they come with the hopes of keeping some of this inside and placed it in my sunp under my return pipe flow, i testd my phosphates the next day no real difference was made, the following day the magic begun the levels dropped by almost half and by test day number 3 levels was within spec, i have left the media pouch in the sump to keep levels steady as i clean up my tank, no need to prewash this stuff it does release a little coloring when first placed but soon clears, i would recommend this if you struggling with phosphates after trying to identify whats causing them first, good product little pricey, but for me the main thing is it works..

Seems to work!
I've been using this phosphate remover for some time now & it does make a difference, I place it in my external filter & it does lower the phosphate leave & I think it even seems to help with nitrates a little! I have a planted aquarium with fish in & all are doing very well! I think if you want the best results from it use it in a reactor rather than just putting it in the filter as I do!

Great product
Great product. Would not be without it on my marine tank.

Industry standard phos. Reducer.
This product is a default for marine aquarists and you can safely leave it in situ in the filter stack as it won’t release phosphates back in your water. I have used it for many years and it seems to be the most reliable media for phosphate reduction. Don’t expect a huge reduction overnight, but do expect your levels to reduce steadily and to make a difference to algae growth rate, especially if it’s nuisance algae. The downside of using this is that it can be messy! I put it into a very fine mesh bag and place it into an internal filter stack so that the water flows through it and change it all once every other month. When new, it chucks brown coloured water into the tank, but this quickly dissipates. As with all chemicals, follow the dosing instructions and make sure that water changes are carried out before use and during use.

Brilliant for combating diatoms!
Put in to clear phosphate & silicates to combat brown diatoms. Have so far used for a week, putting it inside filter canister, inside the sponge. Have changed every 48 hrs , now leaving for 72 hrs and changing & so far no brown algae!!!!Seems to do exactly as promised, for me will last quite a long time as my tank is only 10 gallons so has small filter canisters, again for me has been worth every penny!!!!
