I recently purchased a pre-owned 2020 vehicle and after the dealership’s cover up spray wore off the vehicle smelled like stale cigarette smoke. I tried everything including ozone, hot water extraction on carpets, lightly cleaning the headboard, thoroughly wiping everything down and other cover up scents. This CLO2 was my last defense as I was hesitant. But the smoke smell was horrible to us. I think all of my previous cleaning efforts are the way to go at first attack and reduced things some but this CLO2 treatment really eliminated it. There is a residual chlorine smell but it is not anything like the stale cigarette smell! It has only been a week and the vehicle has only been driven once. Other reviews state the chlorine smell lessons with time. My wife will be the test later this week as she will be driving the car on a trip. I cannot smell any cigarette smell at all. I followed this up tonight with a/c pro duct cleaner only because I had already purchased it so I used it. I had no issues with this treatment effecting interior leather or plastic. Tip: remove your cabin filter, lower your sun shades, open your center console and glove box. Get the CLO2 everywhere it can get to!

I advise you plan ahead when you use this. Plan to go somewhere with strong winds afterwards and open all doors while you sit away from your car and be on standby for 8 plus hours. You do not want to be in the car. I Used on a loveseat to get rid extremely strong cigarette smell. I plastic bagged the couch and place this in and fully sealed the bag overnight. I had turn on two fans toward couch (moved around for good measure), one box fan facing out the window with a door wide open for days.

I got this to remove a mildew smell from my car. Instructions said leave it for 4 hours to overnight. I left it overnight and then aired out my car. It has been almost 2 weeks and my car is completely unbearable.. it gives anyone who tries to drive it migraines and makes our family nauseous. It also makes you smell like chlorine, so even when you think you’re going to get away from it, you aren’t. DO NOT USE THIS! I got my car professionally shampooed, professionally odor bombed, vinegar shampooed it myself, used an ozone machine, tried activated charcoal, and still the smell is just as unbearable as the first day after bombed. Already costed me $400 and may have to get the upholstery & carpet redone in my 2 year old car that’s only problem before this was that some rain got on the carpet and mildewed.

I have never written a review before but I loved this product so much that I wanted to share. Our camper had such a terrible musty smell that I thought we were going to get rid of it. I had tried everything and then I came across this product. I left the product overnight in my camper and when I checked on it in the morning the musty smell was completely gone. It smelled a bit like a swimming pool for a day after but that went away and the camper smells incredibly fresh. I am so glad that I found this product!!

cigarette smells can be very difficult. I bought a used smokers car and thought I could get rid of smell. Like other products and methods, this helps, but did not work 100%. I cleaned my car thoroughly including carpet headliner and seat belts, but did not remove front seats, so part of center console were untouched as well as parts of front seats. Then I used ozone for two treatments of 1/2 hour each. Smell greatly reduced, but back on hot and humid days. Turns out volatile organic are hydrophilic and drawn out by humidity. I did not want to risk more ozone because it degrades plastics that includes wire insulations and parts of electronics. I then tried this. It has similar chemistry to ozone but weaker. Both work by oxidizing volatile organic, but ozone is one of the strongest oxidizers existing. It is literally an a stable molecule made of oxygen atoms. This is weaker, but still can oxidize organic contaminants. I used overnight. It helped a lot. The chlorine smell lingers after a week, so be ready for that. Overall worth it, but I still have a slight odor. I think the main problem is that i have faux leather seats making it hard for chemicals to penetrate upholstery. This is just an educated guess. I might try again, and with this product. If you have faux leather seats, you might be in for a long battle. Still this seems like a less risky tool than ozone.

I accidentally left my windows down during a big thunderstorm, and the inside of my car got soaked. Inevitably, this led to some mold issues and the interior of the car smelled just terrible, even after scrubbing away all the mold spots and treating with vinegar and upholstery cleaner. I set this off and let it work overnight. The following day, not a hint of mold smell remained! Highly recommend for stubborn smells.

I drive a convertible. I always buy convertibles. After a time, convertibles begin to smell musty - like a towel you leave in your gym bag for a week. I have tried countless products to remove this "aroma". They never really work. This one is no better.
