Compact true grinder
Is a slimline style that fits nicely alongside my Casabrews machine. I doesn't have an unsightly protruding bowl type hopper and it actually grinds the beans rather than chopping them in the way that some so-called grinders perform. The output is finely adjustable and after just a couple of attempts to modify the setting it now delivers precisely a single portion every time. I is a joy to use.

Brilliant little grinder
A couple of years ago, I was the owner of a coffee bar in Torremolinos. I had 2 400€ grinders and a 2500€ coffee machine. Pretty high end equipment. I also had a 250€ grinder for home. That one came back to the uk with me. Yesterday, it finally died, the nylon drive cog disintegrated. Hard to replace the part and expensive, so I went for this. A little nervously because people said it would not grind down fine enough, 2mm particles on the finest setting!Maybe I just got lucky, but an initial setting of 2 produced a grind so fine that it felt like velvet between my fingers, no large particles at all. In fact, it was so fine that my reasonably priced domestic espresso machine took nearly 10 minutes to produce enough coffee for a cappuccino. I had similar issues when the grind was too fine in Spain, so its not my cheaper machine.Easy to resolve, tomorrow I will set it to 3 and see how long it takes and adjust from there.I am a regular customer of South West Wales best coffee producers, and have once had to use their pre ground espresso coffee. This is finer than that was, so I have no idea why anyone should want a grind finer. This won't grind for hundreds of cups a day, but it will happily grind all you can drink in a day and at this price, just buy it. It's great!!!

I liked the design
I liked the design of the coffee grinder, so I decided to buy it. The coffee grinder was needed not only to grind coffee in it, but also some other dry products. Unfortunately, it was not suitable for these purposes, and I bought another one instead. If you plan to grind only coffee in this grinder, I think it will be a great choice, but if you need to grind something else besides coffee, then it may be better to look for another coffee grinder.

Brilliant entry level grinder
With coffee grinders you can spend an absolute fortune to get something slightly better, quieter or more stylish but what the Melitta is a low cost but well built entry-level, small grinder which has 17 different grind settings suitable for different brewing methods.

Updated... 10/10 for customer service!
**final update 26.10.23. Customer service is fantastic, after my last update, the next working day I received an email from the company who arranged for a new grinder to be sent out. Arrived today! It's this sort of service that will keep me buying their products. Post label sent for me to return the old one too.**update 21.10.23. 9 months in and the machine no longer grinds to the courseness my coffee machine needs. It just seems unable to get the grind fine enough for an espresso. At best I can get it to an instant coffee type grind which is no good for espresso. I have contacted the company to address the issue so will update in due course**Original review: Swapped from a blade type bean grinder to this and its brilliant. Nothing gets through the grinder without being ground to the desired setting. Can alter the courseness of the grind too.1 to 3 for espresso grind, I found that 3 was perfect for my delongi espresso machine.Good purchase!
