Avid 11.5015.032.000 Elixir Caliper Piston Kit (Pressure Foot), 11.5015.032.000 - 1 Piece, Black

This is a good little kit to replace sticky caliper pistons on Avid Elixir brakes.I’ve had to do this several times over the years on my rear caliper and used this kit on two of the occasions.Usually I find one piston seized and the other working okay. When it comes to dismantling it I hold in the working piston and pump the brake lever to draw out the seized one.After cleaning and rebuilding I always use a YouTube video to help me remember what the bleed process is as it’s not exactly straight forward.

Good kit. Removal of the old piston without a compressed air gun is a challenge. I drilled a 1mm hole into the plastic piston part way and drove a self tapping screw into piston and then extracted it with pliers. Not for novices...

Not much to say but a good (as it should be for the price) replacement kit. Avoid excessive charges at the bike shop and do it yourself.
