Pet 'n ShapeChik 'n Skewers – Duck Wrapped Rawhide Chew Dog Treats - 1 Pound

I used to be a huge fan of this product and it was my dogs’ favorite treat that kept them busy, however after my last order i am EXTREMELY disappointed with this company and the quality of materials they are using. I’ve been a very loyal customer ordering seriously at least 3-4 2lb containers monthly and even set up an auto ship for the product. But after my dogs became violently sick with the new treat i can’t be a customer again unless they infest in quality ingredients. Both dogs were vomiting nonstop and the next morning i noticed something that looked like a wrapped paper towel. Upon further investigation i realized it was the chicken skewers!! This has never happened before and I’m assuming other reviewers said it’s made in China I’m sure they have reduced costs by using cheaper ingredients. I hope the company is reading this review and will make the changes to their product. But until that happens i can’t risk giving them to my dogs.

While my dog loves this treat, after eating these and similar jerky products he got seriously ill and was hospitalized for 5 days. After $8,000, fluids and prednisone, he was able to come home. These jerky products are under voluntary recall due to many other dogs becoming ill and even losing the fight. Do NOT buy these jerky treats for your dog if the label says Made in China.

My dogs love these, but upon closer inspection these are made in china, and if you have seen some of the documentaries on dog treats from china they have cause dogs to die and have toxins linked to liver failure. The brand no longer makes these products and it has been taken off the shelves of petsmart. I do not recommend feeding these to your dogs.

I misread the listing and did not realize until later that this was made in China. I merely saw something that said it was tested in USA - but again I assumed this as I quickly read through the description. My fault. I would never feed my pet anything made in China as they have poisoned many pets with their foods. I will never make that mistake again.

I have 2 small dogs. I make all their food, and make special chicken jerky for them as snacks. They are pretty picky about trying new things as a result. I wanted a snack a little more substantial for them to chew on for a longer period of time, so I started looking on Amazon. I ordered these with a bit of hesitation, I hated to spend over $20 without knowing if the dogs were going to enjoy them. When they came in the mail (prompt service and well packaged), I offered them to my dogs After a little sniffing at the new treat, both dogs took them and ran to their beds to enjoy their new snack! THEY LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE! So much in fact that I put this product on automatic order so I never run out. The treats are meaty and thick and last for awhile. I whole heartedly recommend these, even for the fussiest of dogs. I am very pleased with the transaction, delivery and most of all...the product!

My dog absolutely loves these and he is fussy as heck. The only down side is it gives him crazy insane smelling farts. Never in his whole 8 years of life has he experienced gas. But now after these treats, HOLY COW ! You would never think a tiny 10lb dog could produce such thick and impressive silent farts but these OMG. I dont have the heart to stop giving them to him because he enjoys them so much, so i just cut back some on how much he gets. Apparently 1 per day was just too much.

GREAT product. My dogs love these snacks. High quality and made with limited ingredients - mainly just pure chicken and cow rawhide. According to the packaging, the product is tested in the US, which I appreciate as a scientist, pet owner, and pet professional. Each snack is a good serving size (I give my bigger dogs proportionately more). I also appreciate the container design because it helps to the treats fresh (especially since it looks salt is the only preservative so it's nice to have fewer risks of contamination). As with any rawhide of chew treat, make sure you supervise your dog just in case and also keep water available. Other than that, overall, I definitely recommend these treats!

These chicken strips, wrapped around a piece of rawhide, are great! What I like most is that my Walker Coonhounds can't chew them up in 30 seconds. The rawhide makes them chew on the thing longer. These chicken 'lollipops' are REALLY GREAT for my Shih Tzu, who used to nearly choke to death on regular chicken strips, being able to chew them in half, and then trying to shallow it in a very large piece, choking and gagging. These Chicken 'lollipops' slow her down. She has to chew and chew and gnaw and gnaw, getting the full experience and flavor of the chicken. I have to keep my eye on her. When she's gnawed off all the chicken, and is down to the bare rawhide, I have to take it away. She'd try to swallow it whole. I give the remaining rawhide stick to one of the drooling hounds. We're very happy with these chicken lollipops.

My dogs love these! They are tasty for them and the rawhide underneath is softened just a bit because of the meat dried on, so they enjoy chewing on them. There is nothing left when they get these!!
