Alot Of Fun For All Ages & Awesome Customer Service
Out of the box, you simply charge the battery and this DEERC Boat is ready to go. I have purchased two, one for my wife and one for myself. I have had mine a little longer and I let her try it, she was hooked.... so was I, for the second boat. This DEERC 'Fashion' Boat is fast and it handled the rough lake waves like a champ. No struggle, no bogging down, it simply just went. The boat is easily controlled though I only had about a 125-150 ft. distance before I was out of range at the lake. The only downside I have really found is that the battery is more of a specialized battery so you are limited on choices for backup batteries, though the DEERC one works well and lasts 15-20 minutes. I have several types of smaller 3S batteries from my cars that I thought would easily fit the boat, but all are a fraction too big. That fraction will not allow the top to close for battery compartment and it would net be sealed to keep out water. The two tier setup to get to the battery is simple to remove and put back together, as they use swing latches and once all is aligned properly, it easily attaches. Make sure not to force it and if you find yourself forcing the latches, something is misaligned. The latches and double tier system do a great job to keep water out as the inside stays totally dry. I see some complaining of the charger included. It is basic and somewhat slow to charge, but it does the job and does it safely. I admit I use one of my car chargers for quicker charge times, but the included charger works and is reliable. Just need more patience. Our RC experience includes having several RC cars, that are 1/8, 1/14 and 1/16 scale and so we are familiar with the RC world, but new to the RC boats. Each are fun in their own ways. For people just starting into RC boats, this DEERC Fashion Boat is the way to go. It handles very well, rights itself upright if it goes upside down or even fully submerged it will pop back up without you having to do anything. I have had mine upside down many times and each time, it turns back over and I'm on my way.Speed wise, I'm unsure of the 30mph, but I feel it comes quite close. I have no accurate way to measure, but it is plenty fast to scoot on the water and creates a nice spray. Very happy with speed though. The boat seems well made, but you need to be careful on the water if more than one boat is also moving. My wife is still learning to drive it (cars too) but unlike the RC cars, if you crash, you may not be able to repair it. She had her boat in the water for maybe 10 minutes (not even a full battery) and cut in front of my boat and we hit. Her boat was damaged badly with a good sized hole.I got a hold of DEERC to see if I can get parts for her boat to fix it. They got back within 24 hours and I explained what happened and shared pictures and after a few emails back and forth, they resolved the issue quickly. They are replacing the boat, even though it is not a manufacturing issue, but was human caused. Needless to say, we are very happy, shocked and surprised.DEERC Boats are great for beginners and advanced users, you can control them easily with practice, they are fast, pretty durable and an overall great boat. Add to it, awesome customer service and you can't go wrong. Highly recommend them.

Fun little boat
This little RC boat is fun to operate, it is fast enough to send a wake splashing up on your feet while you are standing on the edge of the lake, but I don't think it goes even close to 30 mph. It looks like it may reach around 15-20 mph, and that is fast enough for this size boat, if it were any faster it would be uncontrollable in any kind of chop. The battery lasts about 20 minutes running at full power, but is a little difficult to install. Another battery would have been a welcome addition. The remote allows you to turn down the power to make it more suitable for younger kids. My 4yo grandson finds it easy to drive when at less than 50% power, but is quickly adapting to faster speeds. This is a great little starter boat, but would need to be bigger and more powerful to race with hobbyists.

Buy extra batteries! Its that fun!
The media could not be loaded. I've had a blast taking this RC boat out on our local lake a few times! It's a thrill to drive, with impressive speed (estimating 25-30 MPH) and stability. The self-righting function on the remote is a game-changer, allowing it to roll back over if it capsizes. The boat handles waves well, easily jumping and even performing barrel rolls depending on water conditions. However, I only gave it 4 stars for two significant drawbacks:1. Short battery life: The included battery lasts around 15 minutes, and you'll likely need to purchase additional batteries. Be aware that the battery compartment is specific to battery size, so make sure to get the right fit.2. Self-righting fails at low battery: When the battery is running low, the self-righting function doesn't have enough power to work effectively. This could lead to trouble if you're far from shore.Despite these issues, I've really enjoyed driving this boat and would recommend it to fellow RC enthusiasts. Just be prepared for the battery limitations!

Jealous Father
This thing is wicked fast and super precise with steering without capsizing. Bought for 9 yr old son, wish I would have bought one for me as well on prime day. Wish it had an extra battery, but for first use pretty impressed with battery life.

Poor quality
Ordered one last year. Did great. Ran it into rocks and broke it. That one was on me. Ordered 2 for this summer. Props broke on both on the first couple trips. Didn't hit anything. Just snapped blades off. Customer service was terrible. Had to buy more props from their China site. Took 3 weeks to get in. Got them on, now steering gear in one boat is stripped and the other steering motor is unresponsive. Swapped parts to diagnose problems. Not ordering more parts. Boats are fun and quick when they work. But 2 trips out ain't worth it.

Awesome!
The media could not be loaded. I saw some reviews that made me question buying but I decided to go for it after seeing videos of people using it. I can say I am blown away by the speed and performance of this boat! It did 30mph plus in a river that had some decent speed. The stability is great and just carves through the water. Run time was about 15 minutes of full throttle. Battery charge was about an hour. It made my weekend trip at the river so much fun. I would recommend getting some extra props though. I hit some tall grass and broke one and luckily the boat came with a spare. Totally worth the purchase and very pleased with it.

Good boat
The boat is really good. Like most things with kids, it does break. The insurance is very worth it. The manufacturer customer service is AMAZING!!

Battery difficult to install in boat
The boat is beautiful and runs like a scalded dog. The controls seem precise and easy to use. The battery is very difficult to install in the boat so that the water tight cover can be installed over it. I have run my boat three times and have yet to get the watetight cover to install correctly. The battery life is very short. Seems like i saw 15 minutes advertised somewhere. On three separate charges i got probably 5-6 minutes before the beeper started telling me that the battery was running down. Don’t waste your money without buying a second battery.
