It got everything out, even if it has already been washed. This stuff was the closest I could find when they stopped making the baby one, and it does work better than others I've used, but it's not as good as the baby one was. It does work a lot better if you let it sit a little bit before washing it, and it does get some tough stuff stains out, but I haven't had a lot of luck with stains that have already been washed
