Solid metal construction. Hopefully this won't fail like the plastic around the internal wall holding gasket in place like the oem. This DOES come with the replacement gasket and new bolts. However, the bolts are not the same tripple square heads and a tiny bit longer with a semi pointed end. I was careful not to strip my original screws so I reused them after cleaning them off really well. All that to say I'm not sure if the provided screws are quality or if they fit right on my 2014 VW Passat TDI. The replacement part itself however, was a perfect replacement. The screw on top is different than OEM. The gasket o-rings are a tighter fit thus screwing it on is tighter. Same 25mm head to the top as OEM so I already had that socket. Nice. Under side of top is also NOT attched to the pin/arm that goes thru the oil filter on the inside. So the function is the same but logistics of how ya get there are different. All in all, no leaks after install and much cheaper than even auto zone, rock auto, advance auto.

Just what you need to replace the Plastic OEM one. Super durable design! Plenty of videos out there to help with the install. Wasn’t a walk in the park, but manageable in my garage. Pricing was good, no issues with fitment.

Quality aluminum product and perfect fit for my 2012 VW Passat TDI. This one may cost a little more then the plastic one, but I don’t expect I’ll ever have to replace it again. For the amount of work it takes to get this part out and back in, juice ain’t worth the squeezing to cheap out on the plastic part. My Passat had a coolant and oil leak that was hard to track down. Turns they were both coming from the bad o-rings and busted groove. If your going to replace this part yourself, get this one!

Works well, have installed over 20 of these without any issues, do not use the supplied bolts, they are not the correct thread for a ckra engine

This was by far priced at what I was looking for, at least $75 lower than any other seller at the time. Fit perfect , and was shipped lightning fast. Seller has many more parts at very reasonable prices.

Happy to have found the aluminum “model” for this product last year we ordered the plastic version for our daughter’s car. And being that is plastic, it did not last a year. So we just finished replacing it with this part. Fingers crossed it will last longer than a year.

2 months on the car now and it's doing good. We'll see how it holds up.
