My ultimate favourite .. CHEESY POPCORN.. A must try !!
I picked this up purely out of interest, think it would be interesting to use as a seasoning for homemade tortilla chips, crisps, and popcorn—and it’s absolutely perfect. Why? Because it’s real cheese. No fillers, no artificial “cheese-flavoured” nonsense—just pure, powdered cheddar.Following on from an idea I picked up on another review, I will agree It also makes a fantastic homemade version of the classic American stovetop mac & cheese. Using this powder, you can create a creamy goodness at a fraction of the price. It’s also great for whipping up quick nacho cheese sauce, or mixing into sour cream or cream cheese for an instant, flavourful dip for crisps or veggies. Versatile, tasty, and a pantry essential! My ultimate favourite .. CHEESY POPCORNA must try !!

Lots of uses
I ordered this when I was feeling a bit poorly and craving boxed mac and cheese as comfort food. I am pleased to say this product makes it possible to replicate this childhood favourite perfectly any time! But I've already thought of lots of other uses: sprinkled on popcorn, chips and crisps, added to doughs and batters, cooked with cream for a super easy cheese sauce. At just under £15 at time of writing, this might seem like a pricey product, but the flavour is intense enough that a little goes a long way so a jar should last quite awhile. I am already planning to order the blue cheese version and expect this will become a staple in my kitchen from now on. It's not going to be a straight substitute for actual cheese, but it doesn't need refrigeration, a little goes a long way, and there are times when this will actually work better than real cheese anyway (like that popcorn!)

Makes lovely Mac and cheese
I bought this hoping to find something like the powder in Kraft Cheesy Macaroni, because their cheese sauce is lovely, but the pasta is awful. This isn't at all the same but it still makes an excellent macaroni and cheese once you get the hang of it. There was quite a lot of trial and error for us, and this does clump up terribly if you just dump it in with the milk like you would with Kraft. Also I wouldn't make Macaroni and cheese with this on its own. You need to add fresh cheese as well. We also found it nice with a bit of onion salt on very thin fried potatoes, and you can put it on popcorn, or in making nacho sauces, but we primarily use it just for cheesy macaroniTo get this to blend into a really nice smooth cheese sauce, you need to mix it flour, roughly equal parts. Melt some butter in pan and make a paste. Then beat in milk... or cream if you wish to be very decadent, add whatever other cheeses you like, perhaps a bit of parmesan if you have it , some processed cheese, cheddar or be greedy and add them all. You can then either stir it through the pasta and eat as it is, or stir through and place in casserole dish. Top with a mixture of bread crumbs, parmesan and this all blended together, and a bit of grated cheddar, and bake. For variety you can add things like tinned ham, spring onions, crumbled bacon, sliced tomatoes and so on. I especially like bacon in the crumb topping. If making nachos, you also need to make the flour and butter paste first, then add fresh cheeses , milk and spices. For camping, when you wouldn't have fresh ingredients I would mix with flour and dried milk powder before going. It won't be as good but where weight matter, it would be better than most backpacking food. Just add the water very slowly and whisk well. If you can carry a bit of cheddar or processed cheese it would be better. And if we get another lockdown and difficulty in getting groceries again, a bottle of this and a block of processed cheese in the pantry could go a long way towards making some nicer meals.

Cheese
It's not bad, you can add it to a lot of things, although the rich colour makes it awkward to use without turning everything orange and kind of artificial looking, but it's not like you'll be using this to make gourmet or anything. For me, this makes an excellent cheese spread when mixed into cream, mascarpone or ricotta cheese, if you add a little bit of extra seasoning or just salt it becomes really good when paired with crackers and the like, and even just a generic sauce to stir into warm pasta or to dollop on top of potatoes. It's good to have around anyway, makes life a little easier. It's not something I would add as a flavouring to food though, it just sort of overpowers everything else, but if your goal is to make something explicitly cheesey in nature I.E cheese spread, then this is great to have on hand.

Flavourless orange powder with suspect ingredients
This is probably the most disappointing thing I've bought from Amazon for years. It is hard to know where to start, so I'm just going to bullet point it:- zero flavour. ZERO.- Smells slightly of vomit- I don't know what is 100% natural cheese about this, because th- unknown country of production origin - it says made in DK and then the next sentence "primary ingredient (cheese) may not originate from DK" - TRUST ME DADDY - if that isn't from DK you don't wanna know where it's from. I'm going to try to get money back for it. Very disappointed.

MILD cheddar cheese powder.
Mild, very mild cheddar flavour.I was hoping this cheddar flavouring would be similar to cheesy Wotsits, but this is more like a cream cheese than a cheddar cheese. To mild for my liking, so I won't be buying another one, unless they make a mature or vintage cheddar cheese powder.

Perfect. Needs recipe, see below.
Recipe: use half measure of powder to milk. Add butter, salt, paprika. Bring to a low boil whisking as you go. Reduce to thicken which will occur as it cools. You will end up perfect dorito style sauce. Enjoy.
