I buy a lot of "straight from China" tools, and as you would guess, I've had varying luck. These are my absolute favorite. They work flawlessly!I was skeptical when I received them. They have the typical chintzy appearance, and seem hastily made and a little rough around the edges. I could not have been more wrong.The metal zip ties are terrific. They hold TIGHTLY, do not slip, do not rust, and seem like they will last a lifetime in use. They can be reduced to bind a diameter much smaller than I thought; probably something between 1/4 and 1/2". There are no "clicks" when tightening them, so they're able to be perfectly tightened to any diameter within their range.The tool was also very impressive, and intuitive to use. The tightening function works great, and it's easy to get the tension just right. I set my ties very tightly, and was not careful about applying too much pressure. As it turns out, I didn't need to worry; the tool did not break a single tie. I should try to do this intentionally, to see how much force it would take. Regardless, this is not a tool that you will have to baby or use carefully.The cutting function is surprisingly good. The tool shears off the tag end from the ties cleanly and effortlessly. I can very easily tighten and cut with one hand, without changing my grip. This leaves my other hand free to hold the cable tie in place while tightening, making this a one-man operation, which I really appreciate. The cuts are VERY close, and while I imagine that you could cut yourself on the tie if you really tried, it's such a close and smooth cut that I can't imagine you could hurt yourself on accident.I will NEVER use a plastic zip tie again! The stainless ones are FAR superior, and I cannot think of a single way that this set could work better.

After a few zip ties being run down pretty tight the teeth on the gun would not grip the best. I had to hold the jaws shut with my finger to get it to stay tight. The cut mechanism works great and provides a good clean cut. Everything did work and it did what i needed it to do.

Easy to use, good quality. I used it to secure new fiberglass mat to the baffles in the slip-on mufflers on my motorcycle.

A great combination. We designed and built a large cage for peacocks with metal poles and chainlink fence off a 30+ meter roll 2 meters wide (100 feet - about 6- feet wide. We put in the poles and then attached the fence. It was so easy to extend the fence and strap it to the poles, it was done is just a little while, and it will be indestructable, besides. nothing will get in or out.ñ A great way to make something and can be used in so many other good ways.

The only function this tool is good for is clipping the tail off from the zip tie. The jaw that is supposed to grip and tighten the metal zip tie doesn't grip. It only slips and absolutely does not perform as it should. Waste of money.

Surprised at how tight it could get

My only complaint about this product is that unless you have at least a 3 or 4 inch tail on the zip tie after attaching it the tool can’t grasp it to tighten it so you end up using much longer zip ties than you need to for a task. I bought this to tighten zip ties I had already attached and trimmed and was unable to do so because of this. Otherwise it works fine. Make sure you don’t use the trimming tool at the same spot you tighten it to (pull it out like a quarter inch) or it trims it off at the attachment point and breaks the zip tie back open and too short to reuse. It’s easy for weak hands to use and works at multiple angles.

Fairly easy to use, just doesn't grab the steel that well to tighten.

Tool did not tighten the band, it seems to slip making the tool useless
