Definitely does the trick. Reduces the background sound significantly. When using loud equipment my ears no longer ring afterwards when I put the ear plugs in. Fits well and is very easy to put in and take out and the storage container is an extra bonus in keeping them clean. A good quality for the value.

I read all the reviews before purchasing. These earplugs are top notch and just perfect for my needs. They are effective, comfortable, and don't fall out during the night. My work requires that I nap in not so great daytime conditions and these earplugs with a good eye mask put me into my own sensory deprivation chamber.

The media could not be loaded. My only complaint - The case is very difficult to open, even using your fingernails. However, I discovered that you can just squeeze in on both of the short sides and it will pop open.These are my go-to earplugs for using lawn equipment and loud garage equipment like saws, grinders, and impact tools.But for sleeping, my wife and I use the soft foam earplugs because they're cheap enough to throw away after one week. They're $9 for 50 pairs vs. these silicone ones at $7 for 12 pairs. The foam are about a third of the price.These silicone ear plugs are not as comfortable to use when sleeping, as the soft foam ones. But, these work very well at reducing decibels when you need them. Also, they're quicker and easier to properly insert into your ears than the foam ones, which take time to expand to make the seal.The storage cases are a definite plus and one major reason I bought this brand. I deducted one star from my review due to the difficulty I found in opening the case. There's nothing molded into the case to help separate the top and bottom easily when opening it. Not everyone will know to squeeze it open from the sides.So, as silicone ear plugs go, these work great for most uses; not so much for sleeping, I've found.

I received pair of silicone earplugs in my jar of traditional foam ones and really liked them but the stem was too uncomfortable. I read other reviews on these pair and decided to give them a try. I'm very glad that I did! Not only are they way more comfortable than the expanding foam kind, the stems are super bendy so that part is also comfortable. They do slip out after a while but so do every other kind. They don't slip out until I'm already in a deep sleep anyway. While they're in, though, they block out my noisy neighbors and even the nearby train. What's even better is that they're washable so I'm not tossing more stuff into landfills. Win-win for me!
