Incredible Guitar
I'm a Professional Luthier, quite well known as published Author and Columnist for Guitar Magazines, and a Builder of fine Custom Instruments. I ordered this guitar as a knock around for me to play with, to try out some new ideas and techniques for Guitar Repair. I found instead, a guitar that needed NOTHING! The stratocaster-style Instrument was built solidly, set up Perfectly right out of the Box! Roasted Mapke neck, stainless steel frets, wax potted ceramic single coil pickups sound quite vintage with a nice mid- range"snap". The Relic work is spot on,but the hardware is all new and shiny. I'll be aging the hardware to match the body reliving. The hardware is top notch, with Hipshot-style tuners are 18-1 ratio and quite smooth while staying in tune. The Roasted Maple neck has a nice slim profile, fairly standard with a not too big/ not too small feel and a matte finish feels nicely aged. The frets are Perfectly installed with no sharp edges or ends,no dents or dings, and they intonate Perfectly. I've played alot of Fender guitars that didn't have NEARLY as good a fret job! This guitar plays and feels like a higher end Instrument and the Relic paint job just adds to the vibe and feel. This guitar is SO worth the $200 it's not even funny!!

Fantastic guitar for the price!!!!
Seriously cannot believe this guitar has become my main player. So comfortable right out of the box. Great neck with plenty of support. Mahogany body makes some good tone without taking away from the brightness. Tuners and frets are high quality. Did upgrade the bridge with the Guyker and put in some EMG retro single coils. This guitar stays in tune like a rock and is already playing gigs.

A Squier Bullet Strat on 11 would like to see it at $180
UPDATED! single string tree in the wrong place and definitely needed 2 of them. See pictures of my fix. It now has it running true and tunning stable with no vibration in the nut.Great $189 starting point for a project.Better than a Squier bullet strat. I purchased with that intent. Plays like dog p**p out the box. But pickups sound as a stra t should. The pots feel smooth and the selector switch solid with a good positive click feel. Out of the box it will need a good setup. Trying to tune up to Eb with the tremolo not setup properly and of cheap quality was not working at all. Basically this guitar would immediately benefit from upgraded tuners and trem/tone block. The rest like the nut and electronics could come later and finishing off the look with aged parts to match the body. I already purchased a Guyker aged hardware set and already have full size tone blocks for the trem. Will be making a purchase of an aged white Hendrix style pickguard and maybe an Earl Slick pickup set from Guitarfetish

Lot of guitar for little money
Very well made guitar. Not the biggest relic fan but this actually looks really good in person, and it's growing on me the more I look and play it. The action was set perfect (for me) at 1.25 mm out of the box!! I've never had a guitar action set up this low out of the box! Neck is fantastic, frets are perfect, knobs and switches are all great!! The pickups are decent. Overall this is a crazy good guitar!!

AMAZING! I REALIZE THIS IS A 1 OFF FLUKE!
I bought this because I bought the firs KGD guitar had on Amazon with no reviews. Wasn't expecting much,I was blown away!Based on that guitar, I bought this guitar thinking the unknown brand KGD, had gone all out on their first entry Into amazon guitar world! As it turned out my instinct could be considered justified.FYI I'm a guitar collector having 80 or so, are 40 in my living room, majority Les Paul's between 5 - 11 grand Vintage GIBSONS 60 61 62 67 68. Mayor, Jeff Beck, Hendrix strats, Clapton LE 335, Gibbons LE PG, and so on.......This KGD, and I SYN is one of my favorites, YES I REALIZE THIS IS ANOTHER FLUKE!I like the look, 2. And this is HUGE to every guitar player, it stays in tune better than any guitar I own!!!!The neck shape for my hand is perfect, I can't do the thumb wrap on the low E effortlessly!FYI for reasons I can't explain, I locked down the bridge eliminating the whammy bar when I set it up.I was able to to set up the action lower (all the way up and down the neck) than any guitar I own with no dead frets, no fret buzz and perfect intonation! BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! The frets themselves are (wait for it) that's right, PERFECT! Heavily polished like glass, perfectly rounded fret ends perfectly all the way up and down the neck! This particular guitar is essentially ended my quest for the Grail!BUT WHAT ABOUT THE SOUND? I'm glad you asked! This is an acoustic anomaly! Unplugged it has an acoustic almost semi hollow body sound to it that I've never heard before from a solid body guitar. The strings always sound like a new strings were just put on it. Stumming a bar chord sounds incredibly chimey like an old Rickenbacker with tons of sustain. I KNOW! sounds too good to be true! It Be true! believe me now, listen to me lata.I feel like the luckiest Arangatang in all of Great Britain!I apologize to all of you and I'm riddled with guilt and remorse that most likely not one of you will NEVER EVER in your life experience what this feels, plays and sounds like! For this, I'm deeply saddened....My work is done here and I must be on my way
