Works well with chlorine
Replaced a $700 chlorinator pump that looks just like this one. Installation was simple, since all I needed to do was removed the old injector and check valve combo and replaced it from the one included with this pump. I used the old filter and weight, along with the tubing, because I had serviced it about a month ago and it was clean. The chlorine tank was full, so removing the old filter would have make a mess. However, tubing is included with the pump if needed. As opposed to the old one, which was connected to a 240 volt receptacle, I chose to cut the wire and connected the pump directly to the pressure switch. Works the same, but without having a big 240 volt socket sticking out of the wall.As for chlorine adjustments, I'll be doing that for a few days. Testing the water for chlorine content until it's the same color as with the previous pump...just enough to maintain the well water clean, but not too much which could cause problems with the septic tank bacteria. So far, the pump is working perfectly fine, but only time will tell how good it is. But based on my short experience with it, I recommend it.
