I got these so I could make my own tabletop firepit. These work very well for holding the Rubbing Alcohol and allowing the fire to burn for a long time.

So the ceramic wool that came with my fire pit was much thinner than this one, and I feel like after just a couple of uses, it was giving me a very inconsistent fire, and the fuel was also burning off way too quickly. So I bought this and put this into both of my tabletop fire pit and it works so well. Not only does the fuel last a lot longer. The flame is very stable and I feel like that’s due to the quality of the ceramic wool. So if you need this for your fire pit, this is the one to get.

These are very nice wool sheets that are very high-quality. This is the perfect accessory to use with my tabletop fire pit to keep the fire going strong and steady. We love them!

There are two pieces in the pack. Nice package of white fiber blankets. They are just in one layer of plastic. You should wear long sleeves, gloves, and a respirator to handle these. They have glass fibers like the pink insulation and you will itch for days if you forget. They aren’t good for you to breathe them in either.Installation/setup: Use to replace your ceramic wick in your table top fire pit. This can also be used to line your forge, furnace, or kiln for fire proofing. I also recommend using a rigidizer for ceramic fiber be used once it’s in place. It makes usage safer and keeps it from shedding more fiber.Final thoughts: The fiber blanket can be cut or trimmed with a pair of scissors or a utility knife. They usually are soaked in an alcohol fuel and set on fire safely, so be careful. These are also not for the same uses as regular insulation. These are to keep your heat in without catching on fire lol. I plan to use them along with some others to construct a raku kiln. It’s used to fire pottery in a special way and then allows them to be stained with ash and smoke. It’s a beautiful process and I can’t wait. We received these about 4 days before a huge ice storm hit our area. Our house, a rural home with well water, lost power for 12 days.So, as you can imagine, we were excited to test these out in our little tabletop fire pits. What was meant for ambiance and some impromptu S'More parties, these fire pits ended up being one of our few heat sources for almost two weeks in our freezing house.Suffice it to say, these worked brilliantly. Our little fire pits work with rubbing alcohol, and adding a 2" x 2" x 1/4" (approximately) allowed that alcohol to keep the fire going for over 2 hours at a shot.I do not know how to compare these with any of their competition, but I know that they worked very well for us in a time of need, so they get 5 stars from me. I will be sure to get these again soon! As well as a wood stove and generator... for other obvious reasons.
