As the owner of a BRAND NEW (to me) 2014 Focus ST Iv been going a little crazy getting all the new fun things I need. This car has a little over 100k miles on it and I wanted to find a nice air freshener. Chem Guys make a ton of products with “New Car Smell” and “Leather” being the top 2 selling.amazon reviews general consensus:New car smell - “plastic chemicals 😕”leather - “smells just like new leather! 🤩”JDM - “Smells like soap 😕”I decided to get the 2 pk of new car and leather, and based off reviews I thought the leather would be the best.Leather- Well, Not for this guy.The leather smells like fake leather chemicals to me. Very displeasing to me personally. Not a fan at all. Worst of the three.New car smell - Actually smells decent. I could live with it. Way better than the leather. If you just want “new car smell” and nothing adventurous this one is good.After being disappointed by leather and feeling “okay” with new car smell, I decided to round back and order JDM. Sure I can live with “new car smell” but im in a STAGE 1-2 MODDED 350hp wastegate PSHHHing fwd 2.0 TURBSKI spooling RALLY CAR.JDM- Imagine, its 9:30pm on a friday and you are at Daikoku PA. You walk amongst legends. Neon lights. Wastegates. Subs. Anime Waifu wraps. You connect with a cutie, and she likes your ST. She wants to go get late night ramen. She hops in the passenger. She takes a sniff and disheartenment fills her face. She looks up at you with disappointment in her eyes. She says “..really?…new car smell?” She opens the door and walks away.This is where JDM comes in. The smell of JDM is the smell of daikoku pa @ 9:30 pm on a friday night in a bottle. The smell of good times and happiness.The smell of a cutie in your passenger seat.Youre welcome anon.

Classic jdm squash smell concentrated !!!

I was recommended this JDM Squash Scent not knowing anything about how it was supposed to smell. Like most people I stupidly assumed it was supposed to be actual vegetable squash, like... gourds. But it's actually a sweet candy-like citrusy fragrance that's surprisingly pleasant. Citrus is one of my favorite scents and I enjoy it quite a lot. I've used other Chemical Guys products and had positive feedback so I figured I'd give this a go to get some of the funky smell out of my 55-year-old Pontiac. It definitely works to get rid of odors, but I imagine that it will take some repeated applications to eliminate or drown out all the funk that's built up in that car.Some people are saying that this fragrance lasts only 20 minutes or an hour. That is far from my experience here. It was very pungent for the first few days and faded after about a week, but it was still very faintly lingering. I'd say that a weekly spritz would probably keep the fragrance at pleasant levels without being overwhelming. Sure, it doesn't last forever, but those claiming it lasts an hour are exaggerating. At least in my experience.HOWEVER, the spray top on my bottle stopped working literally 2 pumps in. It will pull fluid up the straw, but won't push it out of the nozzle. It just bubbles and sputters. I'd imagine there's a piece of plastic clogging the mechanism somewhere. I stuck a different spray top on it and it's working fine, but that was a bit of a letdown.

Doesn't smell like cash. Smells like burning VCR

Have used Chemical Guys scents before, so far this smells the best and cleanest. Would definitely buy again. Used in my Buick Encore.

Smell is not the greatest. The mist will coat everything you spray it on and be sticky. The smell doesn’t last for long. Chemical guys is a little overrated, especially there fragrances

This companies SIGNATURE scent is...squash lol. But I love it. I valet my car for work and ever so often someone who maybe had a garlic pizza for lunch or maybe has some plumbing issues at home brings up my car. I spray two spritz on the passenger carpet and leave the window open. By time I get to the next corner after leaving the garage, I can close the window and it only has the nice squash scent left. Nice. Warning though - do NOT spray more than a couple of sprays even if you don't immediately smell it - it takes a few seconds for the smell to reach you. I almost died after using it the first time and sprayed it like 6 times.

I kept a car outside for a year under some trees in the PNW. Slowly bringing it back to garage shape but smell of mildew/dampness is so hard to eliminate. This definitely helps. I probably went a bit overboard at first and sprayed it under all the mats/seats. For the first two days the smell was a bit too strong for me but it calmed down after that and my car smells a lot better now. Even my daughter likes the melon smell so I guess we'll be rolling a JDM smelling Audi for the foreseeable future.
