my trashcan came with one of these pods and it literally smells like nothing but once it ran out, I started smelling my trash, so I quickly ordered these and again sniffed them and smell nothing but they do seem to neutralize odor because when they wear off, I noticed the smell coming back so I will always buy these. I also keep my trashcan really clean. I spray it down and wipe it out every time I change the bags but trash smells in this helps!

When I first bought my garbage can that uses these, I figured I’d never actually buy more. No need to perfume my garbage. But I was wrong. As a single-person, I don’t create tons of garbage. These help contain any gross smells within my can instead of causing me to take a mostly-empty garbage bag out as often. They’re expensive for what they are, but they really do work well. I personally find they last a lot longer than the manufacturer indicates. I’ve had my garbage can for a year and have only gone through 2 filters.

I got this to see if it could lessen odors in a shoe cabinet that has no ventilation. So far, so good. It has a very faint fresh mint smell that overrides the smell of my shoes in the cabinet, but does not make my shoes or the closet smell like mint.

These work really well, as advertised, and match my simplehuman trash bin perfectly. No issues at all, and the price was amazing. The product slides into the slot and fits perfectly, keeping my kitchen fresh and long lasting. Great for about 30 days before running out.

I have 4 Simple Human covered trash or waste baskets. One in each bathroom and one double sided kitchen bin for trash on one side, garbage on the other. All these have great potential to stink but this product eliminates that problem. I believe they can be used on any covered bin. They last about 2 months before replacement is needed; a simple procedure. Im trying to figure out how to use them on open bins but I use plastic bag liners. Fragrance is very ligh, citrus. It absorbs odors more than covering the up.

When I bought my Simple Human trash can I bought another company's deodorizing clip to put on the top. It did the job, but was very large and would intrude into the can a bit. This means it could get dirty and have to be cleaned itself, but there was no smell.When I saw Simple Human made their own I of course removed the old one for this smaller one right away. Unfortunately, this just doesn't do the job. I think I would need 2 for a larger trash can even though the description said it would work for my can's size. In this case though, my trash can would stink horribly after just a few days.I'm sure the answer is that I can or should install 2, but why when I can find one cheaper compared to what this company loves to charge for their products?

I originally received one of these as a sample with the purchase of a simplehuman garbage can. I was able to install it pretty easily and it worked great. I installed and forgot about it, and about a week later I noticed a bad odor coming from the trash can, went to check and noticed the pod holder had fallen off and was probably buried somewhere below inside the dirty trash. I'm not going to go digging in my dirty bin for a small holder, so please beware of a weak adhesive (as others have noticed). It's also expensive ($20 as of this listing). Wish it would've come with a stronger adhesive or 2 holders (given how simple of a design it is) i'm sure the markeup is crazy for something that probably costs them $2.00 to make.

Very good product and works as describe. The sent does not permeate your room and remains within the interior of the trash can.
