A pleasing game with lovely artwork and a very reasonably short playing time
This is a great game, which my wife and I enjoyed from the first time we played it. If you've played 7 Wonders, Harmonies is similar in that you don't really know who's going to win until the scores are calculated at the end of the game. There's less interaction between players than in 7 Wonders, because you're basically building your own mini-environment which is separate from those of the other players, and the other players will only influence your point-scoring possibilities depending on the landscape tokens and animal cards that they choose from those available (i.e. they might take some that you had your eye on!). After a couple of games, I'd say that building upwards with stacks of tokens is a better strategy than filling up your board quickly. What I liked best about the game was its easy playability, its relatively short duration and its appealing parts and artwork.

Absolutely fantastic family board game
Highly recommended family board game, although at the top end of the complexity spectrum for younger audiences or non-gamer partners. The theme is super welcoming and the art style really invites people in. Fantastic rules, very easy to understand and extremely well-written.Many good rules introductions can be found in online videos, so won't bother trying to explain the game here. But suffice to know that my wife and two older girls really liked this game and none of them are gamers. There is a risk of some brain-burn near the end as you try to optimise for the last animal cards, but it's all very enjoyable and easy to understand (just hard to balance).Game time is rated as 30 minutes which might be true for a smaller number of players but it definitely runs longer for 4 players; expect more like 45-60 minutes. If your family is moving up from Monopoly, this probably shouldn't be your gateway game into designer board games (for that consider something like Azul or Kingdomino), but once you've been bitten, this is a fantastic next step.

Great game
Excellent game, deceptively simple to teach and play, taking sets of coloured wooden counters from a common supply and adding to your player board in order to score in two ways by a)matching card targets that you selected and b) by matching global landscape targets. Game scales well to 4 players. Highly recommended for both those new to boardgames and those more experienced looking for a “filler”.

You need this game
One of my favourite games ever, it’s so calming and fun yet can still be competitive. It’s perfectly balanced as games are close and the art is just incredible.

A must have in your board game collection
Played this over the Christmas and new year period Atleast 7 times. Gifted this to my boyfriend’s dad. We’ve liked this game collectively, think it’s simple and mentally stimulating. One drawback I’d say is that engagement between how player’s build their individual habitats is a bit limiting as you are more focussed on your own.

LOVE.
We love this board game and overplayed it quite a lot over Christmas, anticipating some extra add ons in future. Fantastic quality and decent replay value. No plastic or cardboard components (except the actual board which is how it should be).
