Great printer, It almost got one star because of the set-up issues
I bought this printer because it is small, compact and portable. I have had Canon printers in the past, and they are good photo printers, however my last 4 printers were all HP. They all still work, just old technology. I bought a wireless HP printer/scanner for home, it was easy to set to work with any wireless network without using a cd rom to set it up. I needed a portable printer for work and all of the HP printers the size of the Canon Pixma were way out of my price range. So, I bought the Canon printer for the price point, size, and Canon's reputation. I got so frustrated trying to set this printer up, I almost sent it back. I needed to set this printer up, so it worked with my Android phone and Android tablets. When I am at home, I'm on one network, but when I go to work, I am on a different network and I use my cell phone carrier's network when I'm not at work, or home. Setting it up, was a nightmare, because you get no real instructions in the box. I also read the reviews, so I know I was not the only one. I downloaded the manual for this printer and I figured out how to set this printer up very easily for Android. Once I knew what to do, it literally took 2 minutes to set up! First go to the Google play store and download Canon Print Injet/Selphy app and Canon Print Service plug-in app. Turn your printer on, hold down the wifi button, until the power button blinks 3 times. Now, go to your wifi settings on your device and look for your printers wifi address, the address will end with ip110. Look at the back of your printer, the pass word for printers ip address will be there, consisting of 4 letters and 5 numbers, it will say serial number, but it is also your password. Enter your password then click your Canon Print Injet/Selphy app, and print away! Yes it's that easy! You would think that someone at Canon would have made a simply instruction booklet to explain that simply wireless set-up, so that us consumers wouldn't be so frustrated, but that's too much like right. I heard the set-up for Apple devices is really easy too. Please remember this, if you want to print pages off the internet, you must download or screen capture them first, then switch to the printer's wifi network, to print wirelessly.

You WILL look Professional with this printer. It works well and is oh so handy. Canon printers don't disappoint.
This is a great printer: good quality and super easy to use with all of your devices. It isn't meant to be lightning fast it's meant to be super portable. The speed is still pretty quick and when you whip this out with ease and start printing you will need the time for everyone to ask about his super neat gizmo. Since you won't need to crawl on the floor to a plug or unwind cords and cables you'll have even more time to pat yourself on the back and look like the Professional that you are.I never could get this to find my network by pushing the WPS button. This is the fault of my AT&T router/modem because I bought a new MX922 Canon printer which also would not find the network with WPS. I entered it manually. I think I prefer manual entry, plugging something in then hitting a button to crack open and connect to your secure network seems INSECURE.Just in case the Bluetooth doesn't work (for some inconceivable reason) you can always plug your laptop into the USB port. Not that I've had trouble, I'm just saying. Get the 6foot cable so you can sit and type in your lap. A 3foot cable might entail hunching over the printer to stay close if your cord is short. Cords cost $2 and up so splurge for the 6 footer. If you want to keep looking like a Pro you will be prepared with fail proof backup. You still will not need to crawl around and plug into the wall, just a short cord laptop to printer. Make sure you get the right USB cord.

Great photos
I have a love-hate relationship with this printer.PROS:-Prints great pictures, good quality and the ink lasts compared to other printers (I have a Brother copier than I only use to print school papers, iI mostly use black and white and do not use much, but it sucks up the ink very fast, on the other hand, the CANON PIXMA lasted along time when you take into consideration that I have only printed 8.5 in x 11 in photos)- It is small and light, easy to transport and does not take much room.-Its printing program is not that bad, it could be improved, but not bad at all.CONS:- I could not set up the first printer I got, it was frustrating, I had to call CANON and return it ( who wants to call them as soon as you get a new printer??) they of course send me a refurbished one and not a new one, I did not notice until later, when I had already set it up. I was already tired of setting this up, so decided to keep the refurbished.- I DO NOT KNOW WHATS GOING ON WITH ITS WIRELESS CONNECTION - Yeah, I am yelling. I still have not figure it out, I have tried many different options and none of them work. It also does NOT include an A to B cable in case you cannot connect it wireless.- No A to B cable when their wireless connection is frustrating.Would I recommend it?I do not know, maybe.
