Upgraded my filter to these. All chemical smells are eliminated and my nostrils don't burn or water when working with caustic chemicals. Bought two more sets for our evacuation kit (in case of wildfires).

I used these for masonry work to avoid breathing particulates when cutting and sanding concrete pavers. I smelled not even a hint of silica dust.
