Great Laser
I bought this laser for my pets to chase around the yard to help tire them out before going to bed. This laser works great! It easily reaches hundreds of feet and is easy to see.

Bright and impressive.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I've bought a few laser pointers, mostly for cat toys or work... this isn't that level of pointer. This will allow you to pick out a star in the sky, and point at it - it's quite nice to be able to do that when pointing out constellations to my kids and others in the neighborhood. The pointer is pretty much the size of a crayola marker, charges via usb A, and has a removable pattern lens. It's very bright. I wouldn't use this as a cat or dog toy, it's overly bright for that, but for pointing out things on a presentation on a large TV screen, this one is visible where most lasers aren't. It's simple to use, charge and press the button. Recommended for night sky viewing, or pointing out something far away with great precision.

Bright, durable, works better than I expected for the price!
The media could not be loaded. Got this in today. So far very impressed. At night if you can see it, the laser can reach it. During the day still a very impressive range. The removable cap that makes the light effects looks cool. The build feels sturdy and meant to last. It is an all metal body. Will update in a few months on how it stands the test of time. I was hesitant on buying due to the low price but 100% glad i did. I got way more than I expected for the price.

Not for young kids
This is actually an intense laser. Super fun if used in the right way. Laser goes on for ever in the sky. Heavy built casing.

So good, you can even see it clearly during the day!

A sure way to rid your yard of Goose Fertilizer!
A friend told me about this after I had collected a full shopping bag of goose excrement. Since they are a protected bird, you cant throw rocks, etc., and this low power green laser cant hurt them. In fact, I only got them to run when I pointed it (many yards away!) in the grass near them rather than on their bodies. It took about 5-10 times of using it to have the 10 adult and 8 child geese to permanently leave who had been their for several months. When a new goose or geese come to the pond (2X now in the last 1.5 months) it only take one laser session for them to not come back. LOVE IT!

Must keep depressing button to keep light on
Bought this to use for paranormal investigations and the light is bright and works well. The patterns are nice and work well for what I need to spot anything moving through the area. My only knock, and it's a significant one, is that you must depress the button to keep the light on. You can't just turn it on, like a flashlight, and it stays on. Well, that's a big disappointment as its use will be limited. I decided to keep it due to the price and will have to make due for now. I wish I knew this prior to purchase as I would've looked elsewhere. The description doesn't mention this. Otherwise, it is o.k.

60-80mW of green! Cheap, but totally worth it for $13.
No actual quantified output power is specified so I figured I'd order a few and see what they did. Long story short, I'm keeping them. It's a powerful little laser for ~$13, but there are some caveats. Pretty much 60-80mW on full charge. They leak a considerable amount of IR out the front, so I had to add a filter to my setup to get a somewhat accurate measurement of the green power. This is fine imo, you shouldn't be shining this laser anywhere near someones eyes anyways. Addition of an IR filter wouldn't really make them all that much safer. At full charge, I got about 65mW for a continuous entire 1 minute on. At 2.5 minutes it dropped to about 40mW and by 5 minutes we were down to 25mW. My guess is it's likely because it's heating up and you're getting less efficiency out of the pump diode. I left it off for a bit a came back and it was right back up to a sustained 65mW. But this is exactly what you should expect out of a handheld laser pointer. Who's sitting there holding it on for a constant 5 minutes? I was actually surprised it was still going at 65mW at the 1 minute mark. The battery isn't accessible (as far as I could tell) without having to rip off an end that would need to be re-glued. So I couldn't get a measurement to try and estimate how long these would last full charge, nor see what the mAh capacity of the installed battery was. The internal LED doesn't line up well with the hole so can be hard to see when its charging. FYI, it turns off when fully charged. The instruction say to use it until the battery is mostly discharged to preserve the life of the battery, but there's no indication of the battery SoC so this is likely difficult to do.5 stars because it's pretty powerful for 13 bucks.
