We have had numerous leaks in our home. It’s all part of homeownership but these give us a little peace of mind. Very easy to set up. Literally put batteries in, set them in areas you may experience a leak. The app works great too. If it detects water, the device itself alarms (loudly) and the app alerts you too! Nice to have if you’re not home. It comes with a “home” unit that simply plugs into a standard outlet and receives the signal from the individual sensors. I placed one under the kitchen sink, near the water heater, and under a bathroom sink. They are a good value for the money and have a slick design.

My house came with multiple wired Waterbug detectors but none for the air handlers in the attic. DOH! Clearly not a situation I could allow to persist. These little monitors are a fraction of a fraction of the cost of extending the Waterbug system from the basement to the attic. They are cheap as chips; really easy to set up; and they work.We had a live test just last week. My HVAC engineer was bleeding air out of the system following a service. A small amount of fluid leaked into the tray under the air handler. My phone immediately started pinging, as did our kitchen iPad which uses the same Govee App.That last feature seals it for me. The alarm will register on whatever devices you have the Govee App installed upon and logged in, so you can be out of the house and you will get a loud notification on your phone, AND whoever is in the house will also get a notification on your home device. Of course, that feature does depend upon Govee continuing their monitoring service, but they have been around for a while. The units are supposed to have a battery life of five years. We will see, I have a diary note to test the system every six months.I am really pleased. This is a good quality, very cost effective solution to our situation.

Just got these today. The Controller and 5 sensors. Once I got them working, they seem to work great. Tested one and it made a loud sound and alerted me by a message via the app. I have also set up the phone message and email. What is super annoying is the set up instructions. First, the instructions are a tiny little book that has the instructions in multiple languages. Needed a magnifying glass to read. The app is a bit annoying as it also contains things I do not need such as social media things and chat this. Setting up, apparently I chose the wrong controller, they both look the same but are not. Trying to navigate the app to find how to delete the device and enter the correct one was annoying.However, once I got the correct one paired, the rest seemed to connect fine.

Works great, highly recommended. Added 5 sensors around the house to notify me of any water leaks. Sends an alert to your cell phone via an app. No subscription required. Very easy to set up and identify each sensor's location. Will be buying another set to cover all possible water leak locations.

Completed placement and setup of three water sensors in less than 10 minutes. I was concerned because we have one HVAC unit in the basement and two in the attic with two finished floors between them (~5,600sf). I have no issues as you'll see in the image with great connectivity on all sensors and a centrally located hub.The app is super simple to use, with easy to follow prompts to add additional units. The tap-to-test feature on the sensors gave me peace of mind that they and the app work well together.Clogged condensate lines on HVAC units can quickly cause major damage and expense. I'm confident we can be away from home on vacation or even just have early warning if we encounter such a problem while we're home.Extremely happy with this product especially at the price point!

Great value! Easy to setup and add to the GOVEE app. I added these units to other existing GOVEE sensors that I already have around the house because they work! I know because I received an immediate notification to my iPhone of a water leak from my HVAC unit in basement. This saved me from considerable water damage.

Honestly this was super easy to setup and is amazingly accurate! I dropped a couple of drips on it and it immediately worked and sent alerts to my phone, email and did the audible tone. It connected easily to the WiFi and is super durable. This is a great product!!!
