This is the first automatic feeder I ever owned and I love it! I've always free fed my cats and they've always regulated themselves, however my neighbor passed away several years ago and I acquired his calico and she is is obsessed with food so we had to start feeding them measured amounts 3x a day. We often take weekend camping trips and when we do we leave the cats home and put out a big bowl of food that will last them several days and Cali gorges herself. I wasn't sure if a dual automatic feeder would work because my other cat, Lovey, eats slowly and I was afraid Cali would gobble both bowls. This feeder ended up being exactly what I needed. Cali does not try to eat from Lovey's bowl. I believe the design, with the bowls placed on opposite sides, helps a lot with that. Both cats are seniors and I was afraid they were so used to the same feeding routine it would take awhile for them to adjust to the feeder but it only took three feedings before they'd run to it when it dispensed the food! Early morning feedings are so nice because I can sleep in when I'm able to. The unit is very well made, easy to set up works perfectly and sturdy. The cats haven't even attempted to knock it over. I have not went out of town since purchasing it, but this will be so much better for Cali's health. I already have pet cams for when I'm away, but the feeder cameras are just another plus for keeping an eye on them. The capacity is fantastic! They get three feedings a day and have been using ithe feeder for 2 weeks and it's not quite gone down a quarter, so no worries about them running out of food over an extended weekend while I'm out of town. I am so happy with this purchase. Thank you for making such an excellent product.

I'm not always a fan of downloading an app to set up a new device, but am glad I did. I dont write a lot of reviews either, but I am grateful for this product's ease of use, would bowls, and large food capacity. The feeding app is free, not another subscription.My only tiny difficulty was that I didn't have the large batteries for backup power on hand, and I wish the QR sticker for the feeding app had a white background instead of clear because I filled the feeder prior to this step and then couldnt get it to scan. (My bad.) I was able to peel it off and stick it on top and then all has been well for the past couple months of use!I have the feeder set up for some outdoor kitties and it has worked perfectly. The app is very user friendly, and I appreciate being able to feed them manually or EASILY adjust the feeding schedule when I am not home. I have the feeder tucked away behind my duck pen where it has been a difficult spot for house sitters to feed the shy outdoor cats, and now they don't have to do it.I like being able to pick a feeding size number and time on my phone instead of having to click through a bunch of buttons on the feeder like I did with a previous inside feeder. The 7L capacity is great.I got another one for my inside rescues for when I'm gone as well, but recommend actually using the wall mount for your playful cats since they immediately dumped it over when I did not.The structure of this product is sound and easy to clip together. The lid is easy to open and is secure where the animals wont remove it to binge eat.I really have no complaints other than my own impatience of making the QR code difficult for myself by pre filling with food.I don't know how long it lasts on batteries only since I used an extension cord as well as the battery back up.

This is my 2nd automatic feeder to try and I like it, the cats like it, it's working "well enough" (still testing all that out), so we're keeping it. The other one I sent back due to configuring issues but the configuring on this one works through the app on my phone so it is a little more dependable.It's very easy to put together and load the food, then close and lock the top. The app is a little more 'work' to get it configured to feed, but very intuitive so it only took a few minutes to get it all up and running. Since my cats were always fed separately because one of them is a thief, I had to move them closer together with their food bowls, switching from their former containers to the bowls that came with the feeder. Once they got the hang of that, I would feed them manually for a couple of days so eating at the feeder wouldn't traumatize them. Hey, they're cats.The only issue I've run into is that it's missed about 3 feedings in the 2 weeks I've had it programmed. On those occasions, when it's time to feed the feeder makes a sound but no food comes out so I have to either hit the manual button on the feeder or within the app and it'll release the food.Since that happened early on but hasn't since, I'm guessing it just had to settle into a regular function of releasing the food every time and/or it requires that there is more than enough food in the container to weigh down the food so that it is released.If it continues to work each and every time it's scheduled to release the food, I'll update my review with another star.Otherwise, the portions are perfect for my cats, the food capacity of the container is excellent and can feed them quite a long time without reloading, and everyone seems pretty happy with the feeder now.
