I am 5'10" and lay on it fine so I would say about 6 feet.

How many inches from the ground to the actual seat of the lounge chair?

Ground to seat height is 11.25 inches. I would recommend using 5" thick pads to not only put the height to a comfortable position but also for the cushioning. I purchased Sunbrella Outdoor chaise cushions (also from Amazon) and am very pleased with the combination.

What is the max weight limit?

The chaise itself is made of durable plastic, not chintzy in my opinion. I am under 200 lbs, my husband over 200 lbs & works fine for us. I don’t know for sure how much weight the chaise can take but guessing not over 400 lbs. If the seller has contact info, I’d call or email to be sure. Hope this helps:)
