The only thing that works!
Excellent product!! This was the only thing that worked to get the hundreds of birds that were in our trees for over six weeks at our business. It works so well we just purchased a new one for another area of the property. Thank you for making this product as we were losing customers with all of the bird droppings. I have actually had customers think that the words chirping was real. Thank you!

Great Manufacturer, BUT this PARTICULAR model is NOT FOR WOODPECKERS!
I have to be honest. Bought several of these through the years. We have a 3-story white stucco house the woodpeckers have been eating away at for decades. We have spent thousands trying to deter them. This particular product, the manufacturer is terrific, but this purchase didn’t make my woodpeckers flinch. I keep repairing 6-inch diameter holes all over my house on the third-story they choose for their dinner.Amazon’s:Bird-X BirdXPeller® PRO Electronic Bird Repeller Version WP for Woodpeckers & SparrowsDOESN’T WORK FOR WOODPECKERS; I THREW MINE OUT!Home Depot’s:Bird-X Woodpecker Pro Electronic Bird Repeller Guaranteed Woodpecker Control Solution 1-Acre CoverageIS THE ONLY PRODUCT THAT HAS EVER WORKED IN DECADES OF WOODPECKER INFESTATION BASICALLY ALL SEASONS$199.So, as for the manufacturer, the above is ANOTHER version of this product, UNIQUE TO WOODPECKERS ONLY and it WORKS!I looked on Amazon for it, but they only have this one that perhaps suits other homeowners’ needs for other birds. Sorry Amazon, while it says it’s for woodpeckers, it is not. Especially not ‘the real McCoy’ if you have woodpeckers tearing your home into Swiss cheese. I actually threw the Amazon one out. For about the same price the one that only has ‘woodpeckers’ as it’s ONLY feature bird is the only one for woodpeckers.By the way, it says they are waterproof but they are not. We put ours in an out door cabinet on our 2nd story deck with a hole in back of the cabinet to let woodpecker sounds out and it needs to detect day from night. Being in the cabinet just means it shuts off earlier in the day than if outside. But hasn’t been an issue.

Bye-Bye Birdie!
OMG! This is working!! I saw the photo of the woodpecker next to this unit. My little demon is just that, much smaller and cuter--but the holes made are NOT funny. One drawback--you need an outlet os be ready with a long extension cord. I also had to reposition it, as the decibles were higher than allowed.

Somewhat Complicated to Set up.
It’s a bit complicated to set up, but I’m not tech savvy. The noise is loud. Will have to wait to see if it actually deters Downy Woodpeckers from destroying my cedar siding.

Effective
I had 1 or 2 woodpeckers attacking the wooding siding on my house. The noise was awful, but the damage was the real concern. I tried the fake owl, hanging shiny disks, etc. Looking for that cheap easy fix. Which did NOTHING.I'd say this XPeller helped discourage and finally stop them all together. But it took some trial and error. I found instructions confusing. You actually have to set it based on types of birds you're trying to scare off using a variety of teeny tiny buttons. Also you can set it on a timer, which is helpful, but tricky to figure out. And the distressed bird noises and predator bird noise may freak out your pets, just FYI. But I would recommend. And good luck!

Does not scare pigeons one bit
The media could not be loaded. Device was created with many options on timer as well as different types of sound to scare birds. However it does not seem to affect the pigeons on top of my roof one bit. Expected a lot from this product with such high price but had to return since it couldn’t scare away the pigeons. The pigeons weren’t even phased on bit when pointing this device toward them and turned on for several minutes.

We WON! Cedar-sided House vs. Woodpeckers
We have been fighting woodpecker’s for years. They do not even let up in Minnesota winters-and this summer one hole was filled with baby birds! After repairing all of the holes (more than a dozen), we power washed, primed and painted the house. While on the final wall and final coat, a sneaky pecker pecked a golf-ball sized hole on the opposite side of the house. That’s when I ordered my Binford 9000 woodpecker machine (Bird x peller). So worth every penny! I have a 3000sf house and I put this under the corner of the deck where it’d be directly aiming at the 2 most invaded sides of the house. I don’t know what types of woodpeckers we have been fighting but using the wounded woodpecker mode with 2 different predator screeches has done the trick! It has been 3 months and not one pecker has pecked! I run it in “random” time and sound mode, 1st with short intervals, now set for longest random in between mode. They are still in the neighborhood as my neighbor finally gave up and replaced his cedar siding for fiber board. I do have a couple owl statues out as well but I think this bird xpeller is GOLD if you have woodpeckers moving in with you

Works well for woodpeckers
I bought this to drive away a woodpecker that developed affinity to wood trim on my chimney. As soon as I turned it on, it drove away the pecker.
