Can the mat be left outdoors?

I have had this a few months and have left it outside. (It's pretty heavy and cumbersome so bringing it in would be a pain...) It drains quickly and doesn't seem to mind the water. I do plan to put it in a shed for our long Minnesota winter, however.

What’s the difference between this one at the DuraPlay commercial golf hitting mat?

I haven't seen the DuraPlay, but from the Amazon pictures, they do look similar. All I can tell you is that the "Elite Real Feel" mat is extremely well made and after two full seasons of use, shows absolutely no signs of wear. It is a pleasure to hit off of - some driving range mats deliver a lot of shock to the wrists but not the Elite. So I heartily recommend the Elite mat. And no, I have no financial incentive to endorse them. It's just a great product.
