Beautiful and extremely sharp
I've owned nice wustof blades and a Japanese pairing knife but nothing compares to this blade. It's a pleasure to use. My only complaint is the smooth flat blade can stick to things like apples and potatoes. You definitely have to make sure you're using a continuous fluid motion or the blade will just kind of stop. I think this is more user error, but wanted to pointed out.

Good but far from ultimate
While this knife is very light and comfortable in hand I am quite surprised on how fast it looses the razor blade sharpness it had when I got it.I use it at home for one or two meals a day, always on a good cutting board , always clean and wipe it after use and after a month only it seem to loose of its initial sharpness. On top of that, the choice of Shun to give it polished finish was a poor choice as everything stick to it while you cut which disturbs the general fun of use a quality knife.

Shun makes another great knife!
The hand feel and balance point is great. Yes pricy, but worth the extra bucks.
