Love this colouring book and it's a respite from all the Johanna Basford books, don't get me wrong I love JB's books. This book is 8" x 8" and has a huge variety of images, the quality of the paper is fantastic, it makes blending colouring pencils easy. With this edition I think it is a small collaboration of Ritas various books. I can honestly say that this is now in the list as one of my favourite books.

Had never seen Rita Berman's books before now but I came across her work on Instagram. Some images are simpler than others but depending on how much effort you want to put in, you can completely change the base image.I shared my dragonfly on Instagram, tagged Rita and she actually took the time to respond personally. A lovely lady.Good quality paper and defined lines. This book goes all through the seasons as per the title.Great for all colourist abilities.

I really liked this book, it was actually a compilation of drawings from the other books, which I didn't realise when I bought it.Which for me worked out well as it contained most of the drawings I actually wanted from the others.I like the mix of drawings that you can do in very little time, or others that you can spend hours and hours on.

This book is an absolute pleasure to colour in. The artwork is inspiring and the paper is perfect for coloured pencils.

Rita Berman books are well made, good paper surface and easy to colour in with most makes of pencil. The edsigns are beautiful. Highly recommended.

I bought this because it was a compilation of the Seasons books...I love the style and it’s such a good mixture. Worth buying

If you are curious about Rita Berman's work then buy this book to begin with. It is a collection of pages from all four of the seasons books and is probably the best point at which to start. I bought all five books together but now wish I had only purchased this one because they are all very similar. The pictures are okay but not really to my personal taste and I don't see myself colouring very many of them. That said, they do look very nice once completed as you can see from colouring pages on social media.The plus point of these books is that the size of the volume and the simplicity of the illustrations means you can colour a whole page very quickly. The minus point is that the pictures are outlined heavily in black on very stark white paper and so the quality and refinement is nowhere near that of the Johanna Basford books or the beautiful hardback volumes of the Swedish artists Hanna Karlzon and Maria Trolle, all of which are actually far better options for the serious colourist simply because of the paper texture. However nice Rita Berman's artwork is, the book quality could be very much better.Edited to add: since I began colouring in this book I have noticed that the paper doesn't like wax based pencils, it feels scratchy and the results are patchy. It does work far better with oil based pencils such as Polychromos or Lyra.
