Somehow, my friend had the 'latch' break off, after several years of use and could not be repaired. Looked at several online, but this one was the perfect OEM replacement. Installed in minutes.

Almost Perfect
Still recommend because while I would like to say that ever since installing this unit, my garage door seems to be finicky about opening and closing, but it could very well be the motor itself. So... I recommend it. Easy to install, no programming necessary.

Easy install
I purchased this to replace an existing door opener of the same manufacture. I found a couple of helpful YouTube videos and within 15 minutes the old one was out and the new one was in and it works perfectly.

Replaced my 21 yr old Liftmaster Security + which is identical to this one
Ordered to replace the same one we have had since 2004/2005. Our white part got loose from all the use over the past 21 years. It is important to make sure you are ordering the one you want to replace (I read some of these reviews) because there are several different ones even wifi ones which this one is NOT the wifi one.It was easy to install: use a flat head screwdriver and from the top middle of the white plate pop it off. Unscrew the one screw that it holding it ti the wall. There are 2 wires you have to unscrew from the old plate.
