Art & Place: Site-Specific Art of the Americas Hardcover – November 1, 2013

For anyone interested in outdoor sculpture, this book is for you. I bought this for my husband, a retired sculpture professor, and he loved it. Gorgeous photography and design. A very big book but one that well deserves a place on a coffee table or any art-lover's bookshelf.

Simply gorgeous. I bought one for my artist son for inspiration. He loved it (and he is picky). It was so beautiful that I bought another for a retirement gift. I plan to buy another for myself!

When I saw this book on Amazon, I was very excited about it. But the book itself disappoints, primarily because the quality of the photos is just so-so. Also, they're attempting to cover a lot of ground (pun intended) and end up stretching too thin. This is a case where I should have gone to the local bookstore rather than buying online.

This book far exceeded my expectations, the content, the use of space, the quality of the paper. A true coffee table book. I love the history and technical information it gives. This is good value for the money.

This book does a decent job of giving a brief overview of site-specific art with great photos. While it does have little blurbs about each piece, it doesn't go into depth about site-specific art or theory. It's a great book for the coffee table or for some quick inspiration.

Every time I pick up this book I discover something new.Even if you don't have time to read the descriptions, just sit and stare.

Magnificent pictures and additonal information about them. Well worth the expense and someting to return to and not get tired of.
