Finally got it right!
I went back and read the instructions that came with the solar powered rechargeable path lights that I bought and discovered that only a specific size rechargeable battery, 650 mAh, was called for. They worked beautifully, holding the charge for a long time and lasing for the entire summer.

My apologies to the seller for the initial 2 star review that I wrote, I was wrong!!!
Initial review: I was so happy at first, but it died after a month or 2. (False, please read on)HOWEVER,……I discovered that the light that went out was a different one than the one I had already replaced the battery. After I left a 2 star review, the seller twice reached out to me to offer a complete refund! I did not accept the refund and glad I didnt, because today I realized that I was wrong and the replacement battery is still going strong. My sincere apologies to the seller for posting the bad review,……that being said,……I have rarely encountered a seller who was so determined to make it right,……and never asked me to change my review. I will definitely buy from this seller again!

UPDATE: From 1 Star to 4 Stars
TLDR - MAKE SURE YOU GET THE GREEN BOX AND NOT THE PLASTIC CASEUPDATE ON PREVIOUS REVIEW: After posting my original people a nice rep from Shockli reached out to find out what had gone wrong. Since I had mentioned that my batteries arrived in a reusable plastic case, she asked for photos of the product I had received and noted that it was packaging they had not used in over two years. The new packaging is a green card paper box as seen in the attached photo.I reordered the batteries from Amazon, got the green box, and all 4 of the batteries worked: Let there be light! (in our front yard, at least)Thanks to Shockli for reaching out and for their apparent determination to offer good products and satisfy consumers: Thanks Linda!Previous Review:All Four Batteries Were Dead on Arrival - Batteries were well packaged - individually wrapped and in a reusable plastic case.Installed the first one - no joy. Tried it on different lights - No Go. Same thing for the remaining three.Tested them all with a multimeter and got readings of 0.0 and 0.1 - All. Dead. One of them was even faded and had small hard bumps under the wrap.Returned for refund - hesitant to re-order to see if this was aberration, but seems these 3.2volt LiFePo batteries are hard to find and the other reviews seemed positive...

Great inexpensive batteries
My deck posts have solar lights on the where the batteries are now several years old. Many decks I have seen simply let the batteries die and ignore them or, worse, simply buy new solar lights. Since the batteries should be removed for the winter anyway (I am in New England) it is a simple matter to replace them with new ones in the spring. It is an affordable solution, more environment friendly than new lights and will keep my solar lights burning bright.

MUST NOT BE DISCHARGED TOO FAR
Bought these to use in a "4xAA" battery case for an amateur radio handheld transceiver to increase the voltage from the AA 6 volts nominal to the LiFePO4 12.8 volts nominal, allowing for a doubling of transmit power over AAs on the particular radio being used. Granted, the 650 mAh is not much at all for a high drain device, but this would be sufficient for short transmissions and conversations. Unfortunately, the radio was left on accidentally to the point it started cutting off, so I popped the battery pack out and placed the cells on the charger. I found that one of the four would no longer even accept a charge. I don't know how a solar light (for which these are advertised) would *not* discharge fully overnight during use, but if they do run until the battery is dead, they'll cause similar damage.-------I do realize these are not marketed for ham radio use, and I'm not an idiot, I do know the low mAh rating wouldn't be much. I was, however, more concerned with voltage than capacity; I could have easily bought Lithium ion cells, but with the 4.2 volts they have when fully charged, I would need to use only three cells with a dummy fourth cell to keep voltage below 15 (radio's only rated for 12, so 13.8 is no worry, but much over 14.5 is risky). With LiFePO4's 3.2 volts, I would have all four cells and only be at 12.8 volts, which is well within the radio's capability to handle. The radio eats through alkalines like nobody's business, so I wanted rechargeables, but if I'm using rechargeables, I want something better than the general use NiMH cells.-----With the one cell no longer taking a charge, I now have to use the dummy cell anyway, and only see 3x3.2 or 9.6 volts nominal and at only 650 mAh capacity. For that, I may as well use Li Ions anyway, get the 4.2x3 or 12.6 volts, and see anywhere from 1500 to 2200 mAh (because we all know the advertised "2800" and "3000" mAh on those cells is exaggerated, with current technology limits being what they are).
