We haven't used yet on the pontoon.I like the heavily woven construction.Im hoping the straps mounted to each side hold up...I'm sure that there's a weight limit,so should be ok if I don't over load it.Overall, I like the design and will surely use on pontoon picnics.

I was looking for a cute picnic basket that was functional as well as decorative and this fit the bill. Unfortunately the first one that I received had issues with the weaving - the bottom branches were all broken or incomplete - at least that's what it looked like. If you glide your hand over the edge, it would scratch you and would definitely snag on any loose blanket material that you laid the basket on. And because it was missing branches I was worried at some point the stuff I put in the basket would eventually fall out from the bottom. I was disappointed and went on Amazon to return, but they had an exchange option. I really loved the look so I decided to give them a second chance and exchanged it. The new one came quickly and just in time for picnic at a winery that I had planned. The new one was was fantastic, beautiful and the bottom weaving was definitely complete. I ordered the large size so it was big enough for food, water, extra blanket. I love the top which can be used as a small table. Even my husband commented on the functionality and thought that was great idea. So glad I got it!

Before I start, I would recommend that you replace the straps that comes with the basket immediately as they are really just useless and inferior. With the strap out of the way and replaced. I can that this basket is a nice mixture of classic and modern. Classic being that it still resembles tand retains the iconic basket shape. Modern that instead of the traditional two way flip top, it is now replace with a board. The board itself does come in handy when cutting fruits, cheese, or just using it as a table top for your food. For myself, I would have like the basket to be just a bit smaller as I find it to be cuter in general being smaller. There isn't any other negative thing that would deter me from not purchasing one because I already purchased one and I love it! Having cloth lining on the inside was a nice touch adding to to its look. Anyways, I have used it on many dates and they are impressed by it as it is versatile as it is cute.

Bought this as a gift for my in-laws since they wanted a large picnic basket. It's a great size and you'd definitely be able to fit in paper goods and plenty of food for a picnic. The lid is advertised as being hard so you can use it like a table top and that's the case. However, it doesn't lock or latch closed at all, which would drive me nuts if I were the one using it. (The picnic basket I have is Longaberger, and I don't think it's made anymore, but the solid lid latches closed which feels more secure to me even though it's not like I dump it upside down!) The handles are sturdy, too. The first one I ordered had a stain on the inner lining, so just check it out when yours arrives to be sure yours is clean. Amazon is always great to work with, though, and I didn't have any trouble exchanging it before I needed to give it!

Beautiful as described

I received my basket, and it had a foul odor. When I opened it up, it was way smaller than expected. I wouldn’t even expect a loaf of bread to fit in it. The lid is not attached, and my order did not even come with the lid. Wicker pieces were breaking off because they just put it in the biggest box they could find without protective wrapping. Don’t waste your money. Also, the value keeps going up and down every other day. Returned it immediately.

We're using this to hold items in our bathroom since we don't have much cabinet space & it's perfect for that! However, most people would probably use this as a picnic basket & it would be perfect for that, too. Great size & durability! I would buy this again!

This basket was "okay" - but the top of the basket, which was some kind of heavy pressed board, had a scratchy patch that looked like someone took sandpaper to it. It did not look nice - and this was part of a wedding gift. It also had fake leather straps with snaps to keep the top on, but those were not designed well and were awkward. It was too late to send the basket back - and we had already sent one back that was awful! All I really need is the top replaced, but I see now that I have to return the whole thing - and it has already been given as a gift! Once again - disappointing overall.
