Beautiful Book!
This beautiful book is a must for those of us who appreciate the fine craftsmanship that goes into a gorgeous pair of shoes. I was fortunate to see the Beth Levine show at the Bellevue Arts Museum a few years ago and now enjoy the book. I couldn't pass up the great price, just wish I could have purchased one for a close friend. e

Lovely homage to Beth
My dad worked for Beth for 20 years. Was lovely to read about her background and beginnings in the industry. She definitely was a pioneer and a lovely woman.

The shoe lovers "must have" book
For anyone that loves shoes or boots, this book is an absolute necessity. While David Hamsley's photos of Beth Levine's original designs (no knock-offs here) are out of this world, the insight Helene Verin brings forth, quite frankly rewrites the 20th century history of shoes. The significance of Beth Levine is clear, not only to a number of presidential first ladies, but to a multitude of Hollywood stars, as echoed in the book via insights and tributes by Harold Kota, Sonja Bata and Manolo Blahnik. As a historical reference, design inspiration and simply a coffee table masterpiece, I am thrilled to include this book in my library.

Beautiful book about an underrated genius!
More people should know about Beth Levine! I was very lucky to buy this book for mere pennies, but it is worth a lot more.
