Definitely use the sizing guide in the pictures, not the general Anthem size chart.
Love these shorts! Definitely use the size guide in the pictures which was very questionable for me. I was almost sure I'd be returning these when I ordered a size Small. I have a 36" waist and normally wear a Large. I even bought the Dominance in a Large that fit well. They are for different uses though. I like that these are thinner, more lightweight and breathable. I saw a comment about seeing light through them. While yes, if you hold these up to a light, you can see the light through them, you can't see through them wearing them, so privacy isn't an issue. These are a good quality material, not like some of the thin shorts you will find that claim to be running shorts. I bought the dark gray which is very nice and the color is as shown. My hips are 42" and these are definitely not too tight. Personally, I like the 5", they are out of the way but that is all personal preference.

I'll keep buying them.
Love these shorts. At this point I have 7 pairs bought across 6yrs? (How bout a buy 7 get 1 free Anthem??) They hold up well, I have been replacing them as the seems split after many years. Elastic waistband, where many shorts fail after years seems to hold up very well. Pockets are fairly useless on these, new phone sizes and wts make carrying one awkward. The newest pairs seem to be slightly thinner material, I dont know if this will affect durability. The early pairs had an issue with the pull zippers breaking off in the dryer early on but I have not had that issue yet with the newer ones. The old zippers had 3c and the Anthem logo, new ones say 3c and ykk maybe that means something to someone else.I'll keep buying them in different variants.

Durable gym shorts for weightlifting workouts
Just received; the ordered was promptly filled and delivered. The quality appears to be very good. Its durability will be tested during my workouts.

A good look gym short
I’m 162 lbs, 5’ 9” and purchased a medium size with 7 inch inseam, it fits a little snug but comfortable. My gut may be different from yours though. I don’t have much of a belly, but I also don’t have a six pack. Almost. I like it though. 7 in. is the right length. Shows about 4 to 5 inches of thigh. Has 2 nice size pockets one on each side, zippered. Will hold a cell phone nicely. It does take a two handed operation to zip pocket closed most of the time. One hand only to open. Got a darker color gym short and it came as I expected. Has a nice flexible fit to it. Really like it.

I'm a big fan of these shorts. Comfortable and durable.
I have ordered several pairs of these shorts. They are on the pricey side, compared to a lot of other options you can find on Amazon, but I think they are worth it. There is a lot to love about them...The shorts are comfortable. They have the right amount of stretch to them. They fit me very well, just snug enough in the rear and legs to keep them out of your way when running but still very comfortable and breathable. Because of this, the shorts are very multifunctional. They're great for running, lifting, or any type of sport. They have two zipper pockets. At first I was not a fan of the idea of a zippered pocket but I've grown to love them. The zippers run almost horizontally a bit back on the hip and they are high quality. If unzipped, you can easily retrieve what you are carrying. With it zipped, they are secure. I love the pocket position because I can hold my phone in them and not have it swing around when I'm running. These are my favorite workout/running shorts. I've bought 4 pair. Very happy with them.

Size chart is inaccurate
They are SMALL. I went off the sizing chart and ordered a small. Needed a medium. Order your usual size. DO NOT follow the chart.

Well worth it.
I purchased these shorts over 3 years ago and they are still going strong. The seams and threading are good, and the material is holding up just fine. I originally thought the price was a bit high, but they've lasted longer than any other shorts I've had. These shorts have been my go-to for the gym. They are very comfortable and feel great. I'm about to pull the trigger and buy a few more.

From Gains to Grief Walks—These Shorts Do It All
Let’s get one thing straight: the Anthem Athletics Hyperflex Men’s Gym Shorts aren’t just “gym” shorts. They’re “wear-them-everywhere-and-don’t-apologize” shorts.I wear them on planes. I wear them to walk the dog. I’ve worn them on beaches—alone, thank you for asking. I’ve lifted weights, dodged emotional texts, and speed-walked through airports in these. They don’t blink. The zipper pockets are the real MVPs. My phone, wallet, and keys stay locked in like they’re under TSA surveillance. No awkward fumbling. No slow-motion falling out onto the floor of a Target. Just secure storage and peace of mind.Comfort? Next level. They stretch, they breathe, they move with you like a trusted sidekick. And the fit? Clean. Athletic without trying too hard. Just enough swagger to feel put together—even if the rest of your life is unraveling a bit.Honestly, they’ve become my go-to. The kind of shorts you don’t think about until you wear something else and immediately regret it. So yeah, I might need a second pair. Or four.
