How long does it keep ice cubes before they start to melt?

For me it works great, I put some large cubes on bottom and top it off with ice out of the ice maker. As long as the lid is on you can get 6 to 10 hours out of one full bucket, with lid off 3-4 hours.

Can this be used to keep ice cream cold ?

OK for the price.

I have not used it yet as an ice bucket. but it looks fine. My only complaint would be the handle. seems a little cheap but it doesn't look cheap but when you feel it it feels cheap. The tongs that were provided don't work. I threw them in the trash

It holds ice!

Grabbed this on a discount and i feel like it was a steal - its exactly what I was looking for, the lid stays put, but comes off easily and it has some tongs. If the finish holds up from use in my outdoor kitchen, then it was an amazing buy!
