How do u change the blade i cant get the blade out to change

To open the blade you need to have the knife extended, then hold the knife with your left hand and look at the right hand side. There you will see and feel a small ridge just behind the blade, it's black. There you will find the release button. Hold and slide the blade out in a straight motion. When putting a new blade in you need to go in straight also. There is no play like they crappy stanly knifes

How long to the blades last?

Depends on what brand of blade you put in it. The knife it's self is very nice to handle but the blades are all dependent on the brand of blade you use
