How well does the map work with the 10th anniversary edition components?

See the picture attached to my review. The only "components" you need are the wagons. I have only played the UK board yet and 10th anniv wagons works well. Few reasons it works better than other maps packs is that UK board has many many 1/2/3 wagon routes, so not much chance of over-crowding. Also the longer 6 wagon routes are mostly ferry routes along the periphery of map and are relatively isolated from other routes so they do not get overcrowded with bigger wagons of anniversary edition.

Do you need the original ticket to ride or would ticket to ride europe work with this?

You need either the United States Ticket to Ride game or the Europe game to play any of the other games. The Asia Ticket to Ride game has great card holders for your tickets and we use those for all of the games. Have fun and enjoy. We love playing these games.

The product description lists 'language' as german. is/are the game/instructions in german or english?

Is this compatible with ticket to ride: rails and sails?

I just purchased Rails & Sails yesterday and watched a really good 35 minute game play tutorial on YouTube and Rails & Sails is being promoted as the largest and grandest of the TTR game varieties. Even the dimensions of the box surpass the others. Rails & Sails is not an expansion. It's a stand alone game in its own right. And because they add boats to that version you can't pull the supplies from another game. Rails & Sails is probably the pinnacle of TTR game play and from what I have seen; it is the most expensive except for those who are trying to sell a game for an arm and a leg. I just purchased Rails & Sails for $67 and the others I was paying $35-55. I currently have USA, USA expansion 1910, Europe, Europe expansion 1912, United Kingdom/Pennsylvania, New York City (uses taxi cabs) and yesterday I ordered Rails & Sails and Germany. Rails & Sails introduces the boats and Germany introduces the passenger meeples; whatever that is!! And BTW: I have purchased all of my TTR games from Amazon and have been very pleased with every one of them!!
