Q: What length would i need to use with the rope wrench?

24 inch works well for 5 wraps on 13 mm rope.

Q: How big and small of a rope can this safely work on?..

I am using this prusik by tying it to my 13mm rope without any problems. This prusik is fine for tying a VT hitch, but I think it's a bit long for tying a Prusik hitch or a Schwabisch hitch. I like this prusik and would like to buy it if it has a 25 inch, but it is not produced by GM.
