"Therapeutic" refers to correcting an imbalanced -- or unhealthy -- condition in the body, rather than merely aiding digestion. When enzymes are used therapeutically, they are generally taken in larger quantities, between meals, rather than just before meals. My doctor informed me that unless there is an enteric coating is necessary for supplemental digestive enzymes to have any effect. Is this coated?

Lipase normally does its work in the stomach. An enteric coating would prevent the pill from breaking down in the stomach, where you'd want it to, if you're looking for the lipase enzyme to do its work where it normally would, in the stomach. As for the other 2 enzymes in the capsule, I haven't looked into as I was looking for a lipase supplement.
