Will this work for direct tv hd channels? it says to use 3ghz cables

Since I've gone to antenna, I bought 2 DVRs and needed to split the cable to each of them. I tested the signal on just one DVR and then bought a second, and I saw no drop in signal when using this splitter. Works as it states and I'm satisfied.
